Peter Andre has jumped to James Argent's defence after he confirmed his relationship with Stella Turian, who is 16 years his junior.
The singer, 49, reflected on the 16-year age gap between himself and his wife Emily, 33, insisting that 'age is a different thing to different people'.
James, also known as Arg, 34, has recently started dating Stella, 18, and the pair have been seen packing on the PDA during a romantic Marbella holiday.
Commenting on their romance, Peter said he has 'never felt' the age gap between himself and doctor Emily, who he shares kids Amelia, eight, and Theo, five, with.
Writing in his column for new! magazine, he said: 'Age is a different thing to different people, on paper things can look a certain way but I think it depends how you are with the person.
'I don't think I've ever felt an age gap between us and when you see us together you wouldn't feel there is.'
Speaking about Arg's new romance with Stella, Peter said he was 'happy' when he found out the former TOWIE star, 34, had a new girlfriend and dismissed the 16-year age gap.
'I can't comment on anyone else's age differences, but I know at the start of our relationship a lot was said, but now I'm in my 40s and Emily is in her 30s no one ever says anything,' he said.
The Mysterious Girl hitmaker started dating Emily in 2012 and tied the knot three years later, going on to welcome Amelia and Theo together.
His wedding to Emily came 10 years after he married Katie Price in a lavish ceremony in 2005. Peter and Katie share son Junior and daughter Princess, 15, together, but divorced after three years of marriage.
Peter's comments come after MailOnline revealed it was 'love at first sight' for Arg and the film star, who met three months ago.
They have since been seen packing on the PDA during a romantic getaway to Marbella earlier this month, as their romance continues to heat up.
MailOnline recently revealed that Arg had found love again for the first time since his on-off relationship with Gemma Collins.
The former TOWIE star is 'smitten' with Italian actress Stella, who is 16 years his junior, after the couple met three months ago in Mykonos.
Sources close to the pair say that it was 'love at first sight' for James, who hasn't felt this way for years, and he's 'determined' to make this relationship the best of his life.
'James and Stella are in love, they fell for each other the moment they met and have spent as much time together as possible since,' a source told MailOnline.
'This is a big deal for James – he hasn't been in a relationship for years because he's been working on himself and finally now, he's ready to share his life with someone.
'The age difference hasn't played any part in their romance so far, they've holidayed together in Italy and Marbella, getting to know each other away from the spotlight.'
James met Stella, who would have been six years old when he first appeared on TOWIE in 2010, while he was in Mykonos attending a friend's wedding, and they have been inseparable since.
Stella appears in the film 'Infiniti', which screened at this year's Venice Film Festival that was also attended by the likes of A-listers Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Gemma Chan, and Timothée Chalamet.
The jetsetter was also at the Monaco Grand Pix this summer, and documented the trip on her Instagram, which is littered with glamorous bikini pictures.
James hasn't publicly dated anyone since the end of his turbulent romance with former TOWIE co-star Gemma, 41, who was left brokenhearted on multiple occasions after James called her names and they fell out on and off screen.
He also dated TOWIE's Lydia Bright, 31, who is now a mum to daughter Loretta while Gemma is engaged to fiancé Rami Hawash.
