Rihanna Stepped Out With Baby Bump Exposed In Chanel Ahead of 2023 Met Gala

The 35-year-old singer was seen out and about in New York City this weekend, decked out in Chanel, including a cropped faux-fur jacket and a pair of "CC" logo spectacles.

According to Vogue, the ensemble was inspired by Chanel's autumn 1994 collection and was worn just days before the 2023 Met Gala.

The choice to wear the look may be a Met tease, considering the collection was designed by Karl Lagerfeld, who will be honoured at the event this year.

"Not even Monday," Riri captioned a series of outfit photos on Twitter and Instagram, pointing out that she's already a few steps ahead of the Met this year.

According to Vogue, the Fenty Beauty founder is wearing a fuzzy white Coperni dress, Amina Muaddi heels, and a Benny Andallo faux fur hat to match the Chanel pieces.

Posing for the camera, the Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner shows off her baby belly from every angle — including an outsider's perspective with paparazzi-style Instagram photos.

If Rihanna does arrive at the Met Gala in Chanel, it will be her first appearance since her 2021 gown and Balenciaga beanie, and before that, her beaded mini-dress, cape, and mitre by John Galliano at the 2018 Gala.

The theme of this year's Met Gala is "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," which honours the late German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who died in February 2019 at the age of 85.

The topic was revealed by organisers of the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute benefit back in September 2022, featuring 150 of Lagerfeld's most memorable ensembles from his years with brands including Balmain, Patou, Chloé, Fendi, Chanel, and his own eponymous label.
