Arrayah Barrett, the 2-year-old daughter of Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett, drowned in a pool.

According to a statement obtained by HotGossipNewz from the Tampa Police Department, the incident occurred at Barrett's Tampa Bay property about 9:30 a.m. local time on Sunday morning, when officers arrived after getting a complaint that a youngster had fallen into a pool.

Arrayah was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead despite life-saving operations, according to authorities.

"It is not believed to be suspicious in nature at this time, but rather a purely accidental and tragic incident," police added. The inquiry, according to authorities, is still ongoing.

According to The Tampa Bay Times, Arrayah was the youngest of four children shared by the sportsman, 30, and his wife, Jordanna, who was his high school sweetheart.

The Buccaneers issued an official statement on Twitter following the death of Arrayah.

"Today's tragic news is heartbreaking for all Buccaneers family members." "During this unbearably difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna, and the entire Barrett family," the statement said. "While no words can truly comfort at this time, we offer our love and support as they begin to process the profound loss of their beloved Arrayah."
Retired Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady also offered his sorrow, posting an Instagram Story shot of Barrett in his No. 58 jersey sitting on a couch with his family, who were also dressed in Buccaneers gear.

"The Brady's love you," the seven-time Super Bowl champion wrote over the photograph, along with prayer emojis.

Barrett has spent nine seasons in the National Football League.

According to CNN, he entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State and spent his first five years with the Denver Broncos. His sixth season with the Florida team will be in 2023-2024.
Arrayah had recently celebrated her second birthday on April 19. Her father posted a tribute to the toddler wearing a pink tutu on Instagram at the moment.

"Happy 2nd birthday, my sweet girl." So sweet and adorable. You completed our family. "I adore you, sweetheart," he wrote.
