The Winter House cast doesn’t want a drama-filled vacation.
In a clip from Tuesday’s Winter House season 3 premiere, Summer House’s Danielle Olivera feels hesitant about the arrival of Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Schwartz in the wake of his best friend Tom Sandoval’s cheating scandal.
“Amanda will be here on Monday,” Kyle Cooke tells his housemates in the clip, referring to his wife Amanda Batula. “Later tonight we have Brian Benni. Brian’s bringing a buddy. Tom Schwartz will come tomorrow.”
Olivera, 34, jokes that she “can’t wait to see the guy.”
Schwartz, 41, previously visited the Winter House with his costar Sandoval, 40. But this year, “I think he will be solo,” Cooke, 41, clarifies.
After Olivera says “good,” Cooke fills in his other housemates on why she lacks excitement about Schwartz’s arrival.
“Somehow I always find myself in someone else’s mess,” Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard star Jordan Emanuel says in a confessional interview. “I’d prefer to keep it Mr. Clean and stay out of it.”
Olivera also hopes for a peaceful two weeks in Colorado.
“I know Tom Schwartz through his ex-wife Katie and she’s not feeling great about him in this moment,” Oliver tells the cameras of VPR’s Katie Maloney. “So Tom, if you’re bringing the baggage with Sandoval into this house — my safe haven from all the s — — I’m dealing with — no. Just get out.”
Meanwhile, Below Deck Mediterranean’s Katie Flood knows nothing about the Scandoval.
“Am I living under a Goddamn rock here?” Flood, 31, asks the cameras. “I have no idea who the f — — Tom Schwartz is.”
Winter House season 3 began filming in Steamboat Springs, Colorado one week after news broke that Sandoval, 40, and his girlfriend of nine years, Ariana Madix, broke up after Madix, 38, learned about his affair with their castmate Raquel Leviss.
Fans and VPR cast members alike wondered at the time whether Schwartz knew about best friend Sandoval’s affair.
“I learned in August, in late August about the affair, the one-night stand — allegedly,” Schwartz told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live in April, later adding that “there was a lot of grey area there” as to how deep the infidelity ran.
In June, Schwartz said decided to step away from his friendship with Sandoval. “I’m taking a break from Tom right now,” Schwartz told Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright on their When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany podcast. “I haven’t seen him in a while.”
Below Deck stars Rhylee Gerber, Alex Propson, Aesha Scott, Malia White and Captain Sandy Yawn, Summer House’s Samantha “Sam” Feher and Kory Keefer, Winter House’s Jason Cameron and Bravo newcomer Casey Craig round out the Winter House season 3 cast.
