Mauricio Umansky isn’t watching the latest season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after starring alongside his wife Kyle Richards since the series began.
The Agency founder shared on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show podcast that he’s opted out from watching this season of RHOBH to avoid seeing the “dramatization” of his marriage with Richards.
The Buying Beverly Hills star, 53, shared with hosts Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick that he’s chosen not to watch the series nor read any stories written about him regarding his separation.
“I know that they’re dramatizing everything,” Umansky said. “There’s a bunch of stuff that I don’t really want to see because it will just create more noise for me and more opinions.”
“People that watch that show are all opinionated and they just don’t realize it. There are two humans on the other side of your opinion,” he said. “That’s really, really difficult.”
Umansky continued to explain he quiets the “noise” through meditation and choosing not to listen to what’s said around and about him.
While Umansky isn’t watching every episode of the series’ 13th season, he also admitted he’s decided to just “be in and out of the Housewives “ series. He shared his strategy: “My wife is always right and then you know, I get out as fast as possible.”
Umansky explained that the RHOBH costars — both men and women — become “really good friends,” even though filming sometimes becomes “really hard” and “really awkward.”
The television personality also shared with the hosts that he doesn’t “need to read the BS” because he knows what’s happening in the couple’s separation.
“When I know what I’m doing with my marriage, I will let you guys all know. Until then, everybody can take a hike and f — — off,” Umansky added. “I always tell my wife. I’m like, ‘I know what happens to us.’ I’m the one that went to bed. I’m the one that woke up.”
In July, Richards, 54, and Umansky were separating after 27 years of marriage.
“Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof,” a source close to the couple revealed at the time. “They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”
Despite their troubles, Umansky previously insisted he and Richards were working on their marriage.
“We’ve been married for 27 years. We’re having a bit of a rough patch,” he told in early October, adding that “sometimes life throws you different things” and “you’ve gotta work through it.”
