Terry Crews is best known as the host of the America's Got Talent franchise, but at home, he's simply "dad" to his five kids: Naomi, Azriél, Tera, Wynfrey and Isaiah.
The White Chicks actor has been married to singer-songwriter Rebecca King-Crews since 1989. They were introduced by mutual friends, and at the time, she was a single parent to 6-month-old Naomi.
He created the heavens and the earth for a purpose. He wraps the night around the day, and wraps the day around the night. And He has subjected the sun and the moon, each orbiting for an appointed term. He is truly the Almighty, Most Forgiving.(The Quran - Chapter Az-Zumar : 05)
The couple dated for two years before becoming husband and wife, and Terry wrote in The Guardian he was "thrown into" fatherhood at 20 years old when he wed Rebecca. They have since been open about their relationship’s ups and downs, including the challenges of raising a family.
When their audio memoir Stronger Together was released in 2021, Terry credited his wife for being “the reason that we are all still here, together,” and told that he aims to be a good role model, “a person who is transparent and lets them be free and do whatever they need to do.”
Whether following in their footsteps in entertainment or pursuing a new path, the pair support any career choice their children make.
“Whatever they wanna do, we support,” Terry told Parade, noting that a successful career is not all there is to life. “We kind of wrap everything up in achievements, but the movies and all the things I’ve done? They’re not my legacy. It’s really my son, and my daughters, and my family. That’s the legacy.”
Here’s everything to know about Terry Crews and Rebecca King-Crews’ kids: Naomi, Azriél, Tera, Wynfrey and Isaiah.
Naomi Anna Burton, 36
Rebecca became a mother in March 1987 when she gave birth to daughter Naomi Anna Burton at 21 years old. She met Terry just a few months later, and after they wed in July 1989, he adopted Naomi.
He has expressed how proud he is of Naomi and their close relationship. “I raised a daughter who is not biologically mine either. My oldest. And I love her with all my heart,” he posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) in 2019.
Naomi grew up largely away from the spotlight, as her father spent her childhood playing in the NFL and hadn't started his acting career yet. Still, she did take part in the BET reality TV show The Family Crews, which aired from 2010 to 2011 and documented the lives and adventures of Terry, Rebecca and their children.
Naomi has one daughter, Miley Burton-Crews, who is Terry and Rebecca's first grandchild. “We're so excited, we're happy," Terry told HipHollywood in 2010. “I felt like I would be older but I feel great, I feel like I'm 18 years old.”
On the other hand, Rebecca admitted she needed a little time to get used to the name. "I'm not used to the grandma title yet. ... I love her to death, but call me something besides Grandma," she joked, suggesting Miley could call her “Glam-Ma.”
Azriél Patricia Crews, 33
Azriél Patricia Crews, known professionally as Azriél Patricia, was born to Terry and Rebecca on Nov. 13, 1990.
It didn’t take long for Azriél to follow in her dad’s footsteps and began acting. After making her TV debut on The Family Crews in 2010, she appeared on HBO’s Crashing and High Maintenance in 2019. That same year, she competed on Celebrity Family Feud with her parents, sister Tera and grandmother Anna Mae Parks. Azriél has since starred in several shows, including Katy Keene and Younger.
Like her mother, Azriél is a talented singer. According to Voyage LA, she studied musical theater at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and graduated in 2015. “So proud of the woman you’ve become,” Terry posted on Azriél’s 25th birthday that year.
She was credited as a singer on Katy Keene’s original soundtrack in 2020 and performed in a musical concert about the life of Sally Hemings, a woman who was enslaved by Thomas Jefferson, per The New York Times.
Azriél appeared in her first feature film, Maybe I Do, alongside Susan Sarandon, Diane Keaton and Richard Gere in 2023. She gave her Instagram followers a behind-the-scenes look at the process. “Such an awesome experience being back on a set again, such a precious gift to get paid to do what I love!” she captioned a video.
She often shares pictures of her siblings on social media and celebrates her dad, like when she presented him with the Voice of Courage Award at Safe Horizon's 2018 Champion Awards.
Apart from acting, Azriél has also worked as a makeup artist, real estate agent and copywriter, according to her LinkedIn.
Tera Zella Crews, 25
Terry and Rebecca’s third daughter, Tera Zella Crews, was born on Aug. 10, 1998.
Tera keeps her life private like her older sister Naomi. That said, her dad revealed her nickname in a heartfelt post on X to celebrate a special occasion. “Happy 15th Birthday to the sweetest most beautiful daughter a father could ask for! I love you Tera Bera!!!!!” he wrote.
She joined the rest of her family on The Family Crews’ two seasons and Celebrity Family Feud in 2019.
Despite the rare appearances, Tera and her mother share a close bond. She walked the red carpet with Rebecca for the Moms' Night Out movie premiere in 2014, and the Los Angeles-based artist also dedicated a tribute on Instagram celebrating all the women in her family for Mother's Day 2016.
“I would like to thank every mother AND mother figure that has provided for their family and even through struggle, tied the family together. I personally want to thank these women, My Aunt Mickey, my deceased grandmother, Patricia Crews, and my very own mother, Rebecca King Crews,” Tera captioned a photo of them.
She added, “No words describe my affection for these strong Black women that helped me to love myself for everything that I am.”
Wynfrey “Winnie” Crews, 20
Wynfrey Crews, whose nickname is Winnie, was born on Feb. 5, 2003. As Terry and Rebecca’s youngest daughter, she’s the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star’s “baby girl.”
"A joyous and happy 17th birthday to my beautiful baby girl Wynfrey! I love you!” Terry wrote on Instagram in 2020, alongside a picture of Wynfrey with a bouquet of yellow roses and a teddy bear.
Like her parents and siblings, she's a creative who used to showcase her photography on social media.
While ringing in 2017 aboard with her family, Wynfrey underwent urgent surgery to remove her appendix.
“Nothing says goodbye 2016 like an emergency appendectomy on my lil baby girl Wynfrey while on vacation in London,” her father shared on Instagram alongside a picture of their family. “She is doing great and recovering well! Here’s to more life and health in 2017!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!”
Wynfrey is close with her brother Isaiah, whom she has called her “built-in best friend.” The two appear to have a sweet relationship, and in a since-deleted Instagram post, she wrote, “My little brother is the COOLEST. DJ. EVER!”
Isaiah Samuel Crews, 18
Born on June 27, 2005, Isaiah Samuel Crews is the youngest sibling and the only son of the Crews family.
After appearing on The Family Crews for two seasons, Isaiah began an acting career in 2020 as Munchy in Nickelodeon’s comedy series Side Hustle.
The role let him indulge his comedic chops, telling Parade, “I always end up the one wearing the weird dog costume or getting, like, salsa poured on me. It’s everything I've ever dreamed of, honestly.”
In response, Terry couldn’t be more supportive. “I am in awe of his talent,” he told the outlet. “He’s a much better actor than I ever was. At 16, I wish I was as cool and calm and focused as he is! I see nothing but greatness coming.”
The AGT star has called Isaiah his “homie” and his “best friend,” while Isaiah once wrote that his dad was the “best father anyone could ask for.”
The Nickelodeon actor and his dad spend a lot of time together watching movies, visiting theme parks or attending NFL games — although Isaiah says his favorite part is the food, not the game.
