Crystal Kung Minkoff is forever grateful to Annemarie Wiley for her assistance after a scary run in with her high blood pressure.
On Wednesday's episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Crystal, 40, found herself in need of Annemarie's assistance despite their differences when she experienced a medical scare on the housewives' trip to Barcelona, Spain.
Stopped on the side of the road, Crystal informed the ladies that she felt "dizzy" after an intense bout of motion sickness that brought upon nausea and enlarged popping veins.
Our Lord! Admit them into the Gardens of Eternity which You have promised them, along with the righteous among their parents, spouses, and descendants. You ˹alone˺ are truly the Almighty, All-Wise.(The Quran - Chapter Ghafir : 08)
As Annemarie instructed her to "squeeze my fingers," Crystal grew fearful of the fact that she was exhibiting "stroke symptoms." The other housewives rallied around her and Dorit told cameras she was concerned "something was truly wrong with her" after noticing her "gray" skin, her beads of sweat and raised veins.
"This is not just like a 'lay down and drink some ginger ale and walk it off' kind of situation," Annemarie told the cameras.
"But like, given Crystal repeatedly insulting and degrading my profession, the irony of what is happening right now is literally shocking," she added, referring to their ongoing drama involving claims Annemarie had allegedly introduced herself as a doctor instead of a nurse.
Crystal laid down in the sprinter van and awaited the arrival of medical professionals, while Annemarie claimed, "I don't want her to get up and get a hypertensive crisis or something and then stroke out ... not that that would ever happen!"
When the ambulance arrived, Crystal called out her blood pressure, reading to Annemarie, "177 over 108," who replied, "Yup, there you go." The paramedics decided to transport the reality star to the hospital and the ladies continued on with their plans after sending Crystal well wishes and support.
After lighting candles and praying to saints at a nearby church, Annemarie received a call from Crystal who told her she was on an IV drip and feeling a lot better after taking anti-nausea medicine. She shared that she received a prescription medication and would be returning to the house to reunite with the girls.
Once they returned home, the women found her resting in bed. Crystal explained that her doctor at home got involved and grew emotional as she confessed how "scary" the ordeal had been.
"My family history has a history of high blood pressure [and] hypertension and it's something that I know that I've struggled with but I didn't realize it could get to this point," she said in a confessional interview. "It was so scary, and although my dad had always told me the signs to watch out for a stroke, some people can't come back."
"I've never been faced with my mortality," she added. "I really appreciate Annemarie being there for me and putting aside all our differences in a moment that was truly what felt like the bottom for me."
At dinner that night, Erika Jayne gave Annemarie props for "letting your profession ride over your personal s---, and it was really nice to see."
"Always," she replied. "I'll always do that."
Crystal agreed with Erika's perspective and told Garcelle Beauvais of her plans to bury the hatchet and make amends.
"Annemarie was amazing today, I really saw a really kind and generous side and it really makes me want to move forward in our friendship and start fresh," she told cameras.
