Trina McGee, known for her role as Angela Moore in Boy Meets World, recently shared the exciting news that she is expecting her fourth child at the age of 54. The actress announced her pregnancy on Monday, June 3, expressing her joy and revealing that natural remedies played a significant role in helping her conceive.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, published on June 4, McGee conveyed her happiness: “Just sheer joy, sheer joy, and I don’t partake in any of the negativity anybody has to say about it.” She emphasized her focus on her pregnancy, stating, “I have been blessed, and that’s it. And all I’m concerned about — I only have one job now — is to have this baby, and that’s what I’m about.”
McGee, who appeared in Boy Meets World from 1997 to 2000, is already a mother to three children: Ramia, 31, Langston, 29, and Ezra, 25. She shares two of her children with her ex-husband, Courtland Davis, and one with a former partner.
For the past 16 years, McGee has been married to actor/producer/director Marcello Thedford. The couple met 28 years ago in Rome while filming Sylvester Stallone's 1996 movie, Daylight. McGee revealed to ET that she and Thedford had been trying to conceive for some time. After initial unsuccessful attempts without intervention, they traveled to Belize, where Thedford has cultural roots, and worked with the Garifuna people to explore natural remedies, including medicinal herbs.
McGee credits these natural remedies, along with a low-stress environment, for her ability to conceive at 54. She shared with Good Morning America that she began incorporating elixirs and other natural treatments into her routine a year ago to aid their efforts to have a baby.
When asked about the possibility of having more children, McGee told ET, “If the ‘Most High’ allows me to have a sibling with them [this baby], yes, I would do that, I would.” She advised others to be realistic about their lifespan and provisions when deciding to expand their families at an older age, highlighting the wisdom that comes with having a baby later in life.
In her Instagram announcement, McGee expressed her gratitude and asked for prayers for a safe delivery. She also mentioned her plan to take a break from social media, writing, "Thanks for your prayers and well wishes in advance."
The Quran - Chapter Al-Qamar : 49 - 55
Indeed, We have created everything, perfectly preordained.
Our command is but a single word, done in the blink of an eye
We have already destroyed the likes of you. So will any ˹of you˺ be mindful?
Everything they have done is ˹listed˺ in ˹their˺ records.
Every matter, small and large, is written ˹precisely˺.
Indeed, the righteous will be amid Gardens and rivers,
at the Seat of Honour in the presence of the Most Powerful Sovereign.
Just as everything in the world is governed by definite rules, so also are human beings bound to follow fixed principles.
They have been given the opportunity to perform deeds in the present world, but by the same fixed principles they are removed from the site of action and taken to the place where rewards and punishments are meted out.
The power of the Creator, which is everywhere manifested, is enough to ensure that this happening will occur exactly at the appointed time without delay.
Similarly, the system of recording existing in the present world is advance intimation of the fact that (in the Hereafter) everybody will be given such treatment as will be strictly in accordance with his deeds.
However, all such matters will be comprehended only by one who by nature is inclined to give deep consideration to events and who, going beyond appearances, is able to see the inner latent realities.
The present world is a world of trial. Here everybody has full freedom. So, in this world it is possible for a man to gain prominence, even if he lives a life of falsehood in order to obtain respect and status.
But nothing of this sort will be possible in the Hereafter. In the Hereafter, the manifestation of the perfect authority of God will guarantee that standing on any ground except that of Truth will be of no avail to anybody.
