Lady Gaga Pregnancy Rumors and Taylor Swift Hilarious Response to Critics

Taylor Swift has taken a stand against intrusive comments regarding Lady Gaga's appearance, emphasizing that such speculations are unwarranted and disrespectful.

The pop sensation, aged 34, voiced her support for the Joker: Folie à Deux actress on June 5, following Gaga’s TikTok video addressing the rumors that emerged over the weekend. Gaga, who is 38, firmly dismissed the pregnancy gossip in her post.

"Can we all agree that it's invasive & irresponsible to comment on a woman’s body?" Swift remarked in the comments section of Gaga’s TikTok. "Gaga doesn’t owe anyone an explanation & neither does any woman."

In her TikTok, Gaga humorously countered the pregnancy rumors while referencing Swift's song "Down Bad" from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. "Not pregnant -- just down bad cryin' at the gym," read the prominent text on Gaga’s video, featuring a close-up of her bleached eyebrows.

The brief clip shows Gaga lip-syncing to audio declaring, "I don't have to find an aesthetic; I am the aesthetic. I mean, I'm sure there's somebody out here right now who is going into Pinterest trying to type up all these adjectives to describe me."

Gaga’s TikTok followed rampant pregnancy speculation ignited by photos of her at her sister Natali Germanotta's wedding in Maine on June 3.

Her makeup artist, Sarah Tanno, also defended her on X (formerly Twitter), expressing dismay over the necessity to address such rumors. "Honestly, it’s really sad that she had to address this because people were commenting about her body," Tanno lamented.

She further criticized the incessant comments on Gaga’s appearance, stating, "People should not be allowed to comment on other people’s bodies. Fans have been saying for years that she was pregnant just because of how she looks in certain outfits. Why spread a rumor about someone you care about? It affects mental health. People should not be body shaming or assuming pregnancy!"

Tanno concluded, "Even if she was pregnant, it’s none of your business. Why are people so obsessed with her being pregnant or not? I don’t get it."

This is not the first time Gaga has had to confront speculation about her body. In 2017, she addressed the issue on Instagram, writing, "I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I'm proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too. No matter who you are or what you do."

"I could give you countless reasons why you don't need to conform to anyone or anything to succeed," the "Born This Way" singer added. "Be yourself, and be unapologetically you. That's what makes champions. Thank you all so much for your support. I love you all. Xoxo, Gaga."
