Peso Pluma Revealed Perfomed with Broken Foot at 2024 Governors Ball

The Mexican artist headlined the New York City music festival on Sunday, June 9.

Peso Pluma captivated the audience with his performance at the 2024 Governors Ball.

The 24-year-old Mexican superstar headlined the festival on Sunday, June 9, delivering a dynamic hour-long set.

“¡Arriba México, putos! How y’all doing, New York? Are you ready to have a f---ing corrido night?” Peso enthusiastically greeted the crowd.

During his set, he brought out Jasiel Nuñez to perform “Rosa Pastel” and Rich the Kid for “Gimme a Second.” He also played popular tracks like “Ella Baila Sola,” “PRC,” and “La Bebe,” and debuted his new single “La Durango."

Despite making a misstep during his performance, Peso chose to continue without using the chair provided by a crew member, balancing on one foot instead.

“If I have it fractured, I don’t give a s--- because you all deserve a grand show!” he declared to the audience.

"Broken foot? IDGAF! ... THANKS NEW YORK 🗽 YALL ENERGY WAS INSANE! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 LOS AMOOOOOO!" he captioned the post.

Peso also shared a series of photos from the festival on Instagram.

In the first photo, he wore his stage outfit — a black Celine mesh hoodie with silver chains. In the second snap, he was seen shaking hands with Rich, who wore a white hoodie and chain jewelry. The third and fourth images showed Peso performing on stage at the Governors Ball. The fifth image featured a close-up of his foot in a brace-like wrap during his set, while the final two snaps showed the musician in a white tank top on stage.

In April, the "Por las Noches" singer performed on the main stage at Coachella, delivering a grand performance with elaborate set designs and numerous backup dancers.

During his set, Peso surprised the audience by bringing out stars like Anitta, Becky G, and Eslabon Armado as special guests.

"I think a lot of people didn't know what to expect, and I love that we took them all by surprise with our creativity and visuals," he told about the performance. "I wanted to take fans on a journey, tell a story. Showing them the path from Genesis moving into Éxodo, this was just an introduction to what’s coming next."

Peso added, "It was really special to have all of the guests come out during weekend one and weekend two because each song is really special to me. It’s part of Peso Pluma's journey, and without them, it wouldn’t be the same. It's a huge win for the culture but also for music."

The Quran - Chapter Ar-Rahman : 19 - 21

He merges the two bodies of ˹fresh and salt˺ water,

yet between them is a barrier they never cross.

Then which of your Lord’s favours will you both deny?

Allah created Different Types of Water

مَرَ‌جَ الْبَحْرَ‌يْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ (He has set forth the two seas that meet together...55:19). Literally, the verb maraja means 'to let loose'. The word bahrain [ two seas or two types of waters ] refers to sweet and salty waters.

Allah has created two types of waters. In some places the two seas meet together, the samples of which are available in every region of the world.

However, where the sweet and salty waters meet, there is a distinct barrier between the sweet and salty waters. In some cases, the two types of waters are seen distinctly in higher or lower position.

If the salty water overrides the sweet water, the characteristics of the sweet water will not be spoiled; nor will the characteristics of the salty water be affected in any way if the sweet water overrides it.

Thus the Qur'an states: مَرَ‌جَ الْبَحْرَ‌يْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْ‌زَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ He has set forth the two seas that meet together, while between them there is a barrier they do not transgress....55:20)
