Saturday seems to be ab day in the Beckham household!
On June 22, David Beckham shared a series of videos on his Instagram Stories, showing himself working out with a pull-up bar to do ab crunches.
The 49-year-old soccer icon performed his workout shirtless, proudly displaying his muscles and tattoos. He wore only navy blue shorts, turquoise sneakers, and tube socks.
Beckham tagged his coach, Bobby Rich, in the post, expressing his gratitude for the toning workout.
Even though Beckham no longer plays soccer professionally, he maintains a strict fitness routine. In April, he shared a photo taken by his wife, Victoria Beckham, showing him mid-workout. "Can’t beat a little down lighting. Thanks to my lighting technician @victoriabeckham," he captioned the picture, highlighting his well-defined abs thanks to Victoria's perfect lighting.
Beckham has often reflected on his soccer career since retiring in 2013. In a February interview, he shared a soccer memory that still gives him goosebumps.
"I have so many incredible memories of the Champions League," Beckham said, reminiscing about his time with Manchester United. "The 1999 Treble win with Manchester United is particularly special since no other club had achieved it before."
"I can’t believe it’s been 25 years," Beckham continued. "I remember that final so clearly; it still gives me goosebumps. Winning the Champions League with a group of players I grew up with—there's nothing better than that."
