The ‘Parks and Rec’ alum suffered an ACL tear during a basketball match but declared, ‘Nothing can stop us!’

Aubrey Plaza departed the WNBA All-Star Weekend on crutches due to a knee injury she incurred during a basketball game.

The 40-year-old Parks and Rec alum reportedly tore her ACL on July 20 while participating in the free-throw game Knockout at the Phoenix Mercury’s practice center, according to the Arizona Republic.

Plaza posted pictures of herself undergoing physical therapy and icing her knee on Instagram, captioning them, “ALL STAR WEEKEND 🏀 🌟 How it started…how it went…”

She continued: “Thank you @wnba for hosting such an extraordinary weekend and taking such excellent care of me and my injured knee. Such a fantastic game.”

“See you in Paris (no),” she added, referring to the upcoming Summer Olympics.

As the Mayo Clinic elucidates, the ACL is “one of the robust bands of tissue that assist in connecting your thigh bone (femur) to your shinbone (tibia). ACL injuries most frequently happen during sports that involve abrupt stops or shifts in direction, jumping, and landing.”

Treatment, as noted by the Mayo Clinic, coincides with what Plaza shared online: Rest, ice, elevation, and compression — Plaza shared a photo of her leg being wrapped in a bandage — along with rehabilitation therapy.

As Plaza wrote on Instagram, "Nothing can stop us!” — and she proved it by not letting the injury deter her from attending the game: The Agatha All Along star was seen courtside with crutches in one hand and a drink in the other during the July 20 game, where the WNBA All-Star Team — featuring Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese — faced off against the U.S. Olympic team at Phoenix’s Footprint Center, emerging victorious with a score of 117-109.

Plaza also received some all-star assistance with her injury: The Seattle Storm Instagram account shared a video of retired WNBA star Sue Bird helping the actress with her plastic baggie of ice, writing “The GOAT lending a helping hand to @plazadeaubrey.”

The Quran - Chapter As-Saf: 06

And ˹remember˺ when Jesus, son of Mary, said, “O children of Israel! I am truly Allah’s messenger to you, confirming the Torah which came before me, and giving good news of a messenger after me whose name will be Aḥmad.” Yet when the Prophet came to them with clear proofs, they said, “This is pure magic.”
