Pearl Jam Cancels European Tour Dates Due to Illness
Pearl Jam fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the band live.
On Sunday, June 30, the rock band announced on social media that they had to cancel two of their European tour dates due to an unspecified illness. This comes shortly after canceling another concert for the same reason.
"We regret to inform you that the Pearl Jam concerts scheduled for Tuesday, July 2nd and Wednesday, July 3rd in Berlin are canceled. Tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase. Thank you for your continued understanding and support; it means the world," Pearl Jam shared in a statement on social media.

The band further explained: "Despite everyone’s best efforts, the band has yet to make a full recovery. The impacts of this decision are not lost on us. We deeply appreciate that so many people spend their time, money, and emotional energy to get tickets and come see the band, and it is heart-wrenching to have to disappoint you. We also value the hard work that goes into making these shows happen."
They emphasized that they do not "take these decisions lightly and try to do everything possible to show up" for their fans.
“We wish a reschedule had been possible for this tour leg and hope to come back soon. Tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase. Thank you for your continued understanding and support. It means the world," the statement concluded.
Pearl Jam was scheduled to perform at Waldbühne in Berlin on July 2 and 3, but these dates have now been canceled.
Previously, the band had canceled their June 29 show at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the same reason.
Pearl Jam's next scheduled concert is on Saturday, July 6, in Barcelona.
In February, the band announced their 12th album, "Dark Matter", and a massive 2024 world tour across nine continents. The tour began on May 4 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and will conclude on November 21 in Sydney.
Deep Sea River and Glen Hansard are the openers for various North American dates, while Murder Capital is supporting the UK and European shows. Richard Ashcroft is opening in Dublin and London, and the Pixies are supporting the Australia and New Zealand dates.
"Dark Matter", produced by Andrew Watt along with the band members Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Matt Cameron, was released on April 19, 2024.
