Ashley Park is preparing for a "quiet fall" as she prioritizes her health, with her boyfriend and "Emily in Paris" co-star, Paul Forman, by her side.

On Wednesday, August 14, the stars of the popular Netflix show — including Lily Collins, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Bruno Gouery, Paul Forman, and Samuel Arnold — gathered at the Los Angeles premiere of "Emily in Paris" Season 4 at the Egyptian Theater, one day before the new season's release.

During the premiere, Park, 33, revealed that she's currently having a "recovery summer" after being hospitalized for septic shock earlier this year. She is now looking forward to a "quiet fall" as she continues to focus on her health.

"I'm working on regaining my health and getting back on my feet, which I'm doing now," Park shared. "I've also taken up gardening a lot."

Back in January, Park experienced a medical emergency while on vacation in the Maldives with Forman. What began as a case of tonsillitis quickly escalated into septic shock, a life-threatening condition where an infection in the body leads to extremely low blood pressure and organ failure due to sepsis, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Forman, 30, stayed by Park's side throughout her hospital stay and recovery. At the premiere, he expressed gratitude for the support he received during that difficult time.

"I don't want to go into too much detail because it's really her story to share," Forman said. "But I had a strong support system — both from the doctors there and back in London, who helped me navigate decisions and medical repatriation."

He added, "I also had support from my family, which helped me stay level-headed and calm. And of course, I was constantly thinking of her."

As for Park, she's been dedicating time to rest and tending to her newfound love for gardening as part of her healing process.

"I haven’t had much time to be home and truly rest, so I’ve been spending time with my mom and family, and gardening has become my favorite thing," she shared.

She continued, "I’m always on garden TikTok, and I have a lot of vegetables growing. I’m not sure if I’m doing it right, but we’ll see."

In an interview for the Fall 2024 issue of "Cosmopolitan", Park opened up about discovering she had septic shock while on vacation.

"When I first went to the ER and ICU, I was in the Maldives with Paul. I don’t think I would’ve made it without him because everyone else was so far away," she told the publication. "It started with tonsillitis, and then everything started going wrong."

After being treated in multiple ICUs and enduring several air ambulance trips, Park was transferred to Paris to recover near her "Emily in Paris" castmates. Reflecting on the experience, she admitted that she had been pushing herself too hard.

"I overextended myself," she admitted at the time. "I wasn't listening to my body. Now, I'm focusing on my future and asking myself, 'Am I setting myself up to be at my best?' That starts with taking care of my health. I'm slowly returning to my old self."

"Emily in Paris" Season 4 is set to premiere on Netflix in two parts, with the first half airing on August 15 and the second half on September 12. Seasons 1-3 are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
