Jocelyn Wildenstein, the New York socialite often referred to as “Catwoman” for her feline-like appearance, recently shared a rare glimpse of her pre-surgery look. In celebration of her daughter Diane’s birthday on August 25, Wildenstein, now 82, posted a throwback photo on Instagram featuring herself and her then-infant daughter.

“Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter Diane Wildenstein,” the Swiss-born socialite captioned the post. Jocelyn shares Diane and her son Alex, Jr., with her late ex-husband, billionaire art dealer Alec Wildenstein.

The couple's highly publicized divorce in 1997 thrust them into the media spotlight, with Jocelyn earning the monikers “The Bride of Wildenstein” and “Catwoman” due to her extensive cosmetic surgeries. During the divorce proceedings, Jocelyn claimed that her frequent trips to the plastic surgeon were, in part, due to Alec’s aversion to aging. “He hates to be around old people,” she stated.

However, in an interview with "Vanity Fair", Jocelyn explained that some of her cat-like features are natural. “The lynx has perfect eyes. If I show you pictures of my grandmother, what you see is these eyes—cat eyes—and high cheekbones,” she said.

Embracing the feline comparisons, Jocelyn has often been seen wearing animal-print clothing and even had a lynx as a pet. Alec, however, had a different perspective on her surgeries, telling the magazine, “She was crazy. She thought she could fix her face like it was a piece of furniture. Skin doesn’t work that way. But she wouldn’t listen.”

Their tumultuous divorce, which lasted two years, was marked by a series of bitter accusations from both sides, including claims of affairs, escort work, and domestic violence.

In 1999, Jocelyn was awarded a staggering $2.5 billion, along with an additional $100 million annually for the next 13 years, according to "Reuters". As part of the divorce settlement, the judge reportedly ordered Jocelyn not to spend any of the settlement money on further cosmetic procedures.

And you are truly ˹a man˺ of outstanding character.

Soon you and the pagans will see,
