Tarek El Moussa is being refreshingly open about his use of cosmetic treatments.

The "Flipping El Moussas" star recently revealed he uses Botox, sharing his thoughts in a lighthearted Instagram post on Tuesday, Aug. 28, as he reflected on his 43rd birthday.

“OMG I still can’t believe I’m 43!!! Huge shoutout to whoever created Botox!” Tarek wrote, adding three crying-laughing emojis. The post also featured photos from a celebratory trip he took with his wife, "Selling Sunset" alum Heather El Moussa.

He continued, “So… I celebrated my birthday in Tampa last weekend with the boss lady and incredible friends! The trip was the perfect blend of business and pleasure – exactly what we needed! From sunny adventures to unforgettable moments, it was a birthday to remember."

Tarek wrapped up his post by thanking his fans for all the birthday wishes, saying, "I appreciate all of you," with a red heart emoji.

For those curious about Botox, Tarek can credit Dr. Alastair Carruthers and Dr. Jean Carruthers, who pioneered its cosmetic use. Alastair, a dermatologist, and Jean, an ophthalmologist, discovered its wrinkle-reducing effects while treating a patient for uncontrollable blinking. After years of research, Botox was officially approved by the FDA for cosmetic use in 2002.

Tarek has not only been open about his cosmetic treatments but also about his personal health struggles over the past decade. In his memoir, "Flip Your Life", released in February 2024, he shared the challenges he faced, including overcoming steroid addiction and battling cancer.

Tarek was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2013 and soon after, with testicular cancer. He overcame both with surgeries and radioactive iodine therapy, only to face another setback with a debilitating back injury from playing golf.

Tarek spoke about the “emotional rollercoaster” of revisiting these experiences in his book.

“The number one takeaway is that anything is possible. Literally, anything is possible. You just got to start. Most people never start,” he emphasized. “Take that first step. Go for that first walk… Just start.”

Or do you have a scripture, in which you read

that you will have whatever you choose?

Or do you have oaths binding on Us until the Day of Judgment that you will have whatever you decide?
