Usher is prioritizing his health before embarking on his "Past Present Future" Tour. After already delaying the first show, the 45-year-old singer announced that two additional performances scheduled for Friday, August 16, and Saturday, August 17, would also be postponed as he recovers from a neck injury.

"Earlier this week, I injured my neck while rehearsing to bring my fans the best USHER show ever," Usher shared in an Instagram post on Thursday, August 15. He explained that he initially hoped physical therapy and medical treatment would allow him to be ready for opening night, but unfortunately, the injury hasn't healed yet. His doctors have advised him not to perform this week.

Despite the setback, the eight-time Grammy winner reassured his fans that he's on the path to recovery. "The good news is that with proper rest and treatment, I should be ready to start the tour in Washington, D.C., on August 20," he stated. "I love my fans, and thank you for understanding that this injury needs time to heal so I can deliver the 100% excellence you expect from an USHER show. I’ll be back on stage in your city very soon."

Usher also informed fans that the three shows originally set for Atlanta's State Farm Arena have been rescheduled for December 9, 10, and 12.

The tour announcement came just weeks after Usher wrapped up his "My Way: The Las Vegas Residency". Around the same time, he dropped his ninth studio album, "Coming Home", and performed at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show.

Reflecting on the experience, Usher said in a press release, "Paris was a special experience for me as an entertainer and for my fans. I hope those who couldn’t attend in person get to feel how special it was, and for those who were there, I hope you can see the show from a new perspective."

The Quran - Chapter At-Talaq : 06

Let them live where you live ˹during their waiting period˺, according to your means. And do not harass them to make their stay unbearable. If they are pregnant, then maintain them until they deliver. And if they nurse your child, compensate them, and consult together courteously. But if you fail to reach an agreement, then another woman will nurse ˹the child˺ for the father.
