Donald Glover's fans will need to exercise a bit more patience before they see him live on stage again.
Currently touring the United States and Canada for his latest album, "Bando Stone & the New World", the multi-talented musician, actor, and comedian—better known in the music world as Childish Gambino—has decided to put the remaining North American dates of "The New World Tour" on hold to prioritize his “physical health.”
"Hey everyone. Unfortunately, I have to postpone the rest of the North American tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks," the 40-year-old artist shared on X (formerly Twitter), asking fans to "hold onto your tickets."
He continued, saying, "ALL tickets will be honored for the upcoming dates in North America once they are rescheduled. Thank you for the privacy, thank you for the support, and thank you for the love."

"The New World Tour" began on August 11 at Oklahoma's Paycom Center, featuring performances across major cities such as Milwaukee, Detroit, Toronto, Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, Nashville, Atlanta, and New Orleans.
Previously, Glover had to postpone his September 8 show at Houston's Toyota Center due to health issues. The tour was scheduled to continue with shows in cities like Austin, Dallas, Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle, and other locations throughout the United States and Canada, culminating on October 3 at the United Center in Chicago.
While the North American leg faces delays, the subsequent European and Oceanic segments of "The New World Tour" are still slated for late 2024 and early 2025, respectively.
Glover's latest album, "Bando Stone & the New World", released in July, will reportedly be his final work under the Childish Gambino moniker. "It just felt like, 'Okay, this chapter is over,'" he mentioned to "The New York Times". "It wasn't fulfilling anymore, and I realized I no longer needed to create in this way."
He elaborated that the decision to retire his stage name was influenced by multiple factors, including the diminishing success of traditional albums, the challenges of touring, his responsibilities as a father to three sons (Legend, Drake, and Donald Glover III), as well as his ongoing commitments to film, television, and his multimedia venture, Gilga.
However, Glover clarified in the same "New York Times" interview that he "always" intends to "create music," leaving the door open for future musical endeavors.
The Quran - Chapter Al-Ma'arij: 32- 35
˹The faithful are˺ also those who are true to their trusts and covenants;
and who are honest in their testimony;
and who are ˹properly˺ observant of their prayers.
These will be in Gardens, held in honour.
