U.K. media regulator Ofcom received 781 complaints regarding ITV2 series "Love Island" just in one month after its launch.
"Love Island" is in its eight season and comes under intense scrutiny. According to the Ofcom, viewers were concerned about bullying on the show, contestants’ wellbeing and mental health, certain contestants getting more screen time than others and the age gap between contestants on the dating show.
“So far we have received a total of 781 complaints about the current season of ‘Love Island,'”
The dating show "Love Island" runs for approximately two months and still remains a hit for broadcaster ITV. On Monday around three million viewers were recorded across all devices.
