England beat Germany 2-1 after extra time during the final of the Women's Euro 2022 at Wembley Stadium in London.
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, 40, attended the Soccer Match at the London's Wembley Stadium in his capacity as president of England soccer's governing body the Football Association.
The England's soccer team, nicknamed "the Lionesses" beat Germany 2-1 after extra time in the final. A record attendance was observed around 87,000 fans witness the final match of a European Championship in both the women's and men's games.
William also enjoyed the very rare duty of handing over a major soccer trophy to winning England captain Leah Williamson.
Queen Elizabeth, 96, also sent a message of "warmest congratulations" to the winning team on behalf of the royal family.

"It is a significant achievement for the entire team, including your support staff, The Championships and your performance in them have rightly won praise. However, your success goes far beyond the trophy you have so deservedly earned. You have all set an example that will be an inspiration for girls and women today, and for future generations.
