Michelle Young has found love again!
After splitting from her fiancé Nayte Olukoy last year, former Bachelorette star Young, 30, announced on Instagram Friday that she’s dating Jack Leius.
“Hit the Jackpot with you 🫶🏾,” the couple captioned a joint Instagram post.
Young’s Nation peers flooded the post’s comments se ction with support.
“I love this for you,” Brittany Galvin from Matt James’ season of The Bachelor wrote.
Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe left a series of heart eye emoji in the comments, while Vanessa Grimaldi from Nick Viall ‘s season opted for: “❤️👏❤️👏❤️👏❤️.”
Like Young, Leius hails from Minnesota. Leius attended the University of Minnesota, where he majored in business and marketing education and played on the football team. He received a masters degree in sports management from Minnesota State University and currently works as a sales consultant.
Young’s last serious relationship was with Olukoya, who she got engaged to during the December 2021 finale of her Bachelorette season. They announced their split in June 2022, and Young later admitted she didn’t see it coming.
“I will say that this is not something that I foresaw and I’ll leave it there,” Young said on a July 2022 episode of The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast.
The teacher, who came in second on James’s season, addressed the challenges of reentering the dating world after appearing on the ABC dating show.
“It’s really weird because, you know, you sit down and you’re like, ‘Okay, so are we getting married in like two weeks?’ … You know, like should we talk about our favorite colors, or should we talk about how many kids we want on the first date?” she told Life & Style in December. “It’s just a really weird balance because The Bachelor world is so quick.”
Young has been teasing a new man on her Instagram Story for weeks and asked her TikTok followers last month for advice on whether she should cancel a date she had planned with a man whom she did not name. The reality star explained that she drank a Starbucks drink that had been sitting in her car for two days in the hot sun and anticipated feeling sick.
“I’m going to be so sick later, I’m supposed to go on a date,” Young said. “Do I cancel the date now? Do I just feel it out? Should I just go to sleep and call it a day? I have emetophobia too, I don’t do well with vomit or talking about it. This is going to be character building. Today is about character building.”
She gave an update later on, writing that she “got VERY ill, but Pepto tried to save the day.”
