Erika Girardi Says She Has No Plans to Change Her Last Name I Definitely Thought About It

Erika Girardi is keeping her latest last name.

While speaking at BravoCon 2023, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star — also known as Erika Jayne — said she has no plans to change from Girardi after her disbarred, estranged husband Tom Girardi ‘s legal woes.

“I did think of all of that, I thought of all of this,” she said when asked about a possible name change. “I realized I didn’t like any of my last names. I’d like to go just by Erika, but that’s simply not possible.”

In addition, Erika, 52, referenced the legal troubles she’s faced, including being named as an alleged accomplice to her estranged husband, as an element of her last name decision. “Considering all the legal things that are going on right now, yes I would love to but it’s such a f-ed process for me right now, it’s almost not worth it,” Erika said before adding, “But thank you, I definitely thought about it.”

She referred to Tom’s wrongdoings, which include a recent indictment on fraud charges for allegedly stealing from the victims’ families of a 2018 plane crash and first arose in 2020, at the same time Erika filed for divorce after 21 years of marriage. Still, Erika maintains she had no insight into Tom’s criminal actions. Some of the related lawsuits do name Erika as an alleged accomplice.

In August 2022, Erika was cleared of one said accusation. Documents obtained through Erika’s lawyer stated that “no evidence exists to support an ‘aiding and abetting’ claim against Ms. Girardi, which reinforces the propriety of summary judgment,” as a court found Erika had “no knowledge” of the wrongdoings.

One ongoing legal battle alleges Erika was the “frontwoman” in one of Tom’s alleged financial schemes.

Despite the legal chaos, Erika has turned her sights back to her passions. While at the convention, she announced her Las Vegas residency will become a two-part docuseries on Bravo titled Erika Jayne: Bet It All on Blonde. She called it her return to music after the lawsuit turmoil.

“Tom’s behavior was bad for three years,” Erika said in the trailer. The s — — this man did. His family, he hurt them too. Now I have to pick up and do a show. It’s not like it’s going to get any f — -ing better.”

BravoCon 2023 is taking place through Sunday at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.
