Rufus Sewell is getting married!
The Holiday star, 56, and actress Vivian Benitez are engaged. Benitez, 26, revealed the happy news in an Instagram post on Tuesday, sharing a photo of her diamond engagement ring and a shot of Sewell kissing her on the cheek as she held her ring-clad hand up in front of the actor’s face.
“Till death (or him continuing to walk on bathmats with his outside shoes) do us part,” she joked in her caption.
The engagement appears to have taken place in Italy, as Benitez shared a photo of herself standing in front of the Trevi Fountain at night on Monday. “3am in Rome,” she captioned the post.
Though the pair has mostly kept their relationship private, they have made a few rare red carpet appearances together. Most recently, Benitez supported Sewell at the New York City premiere of his Netflix series The Diplomat in May, as well as at the July 2021 premiere of Old.
Benitez has also featured Sewell on her Instagram, including in March when she shared photos from her birthday party. One of the snaps in the carousel captured the couple embracing on a couch.
“Just got over the hangover from my birthday party 4 months ago so here are some pics from it. I ❤️ my people and a good ol fashion house party,” she wrote in the caption.
Last August, Benitez posted a series of photos from a trip to Wales including one capturing her and the Victoria star kissing on the beach. “3 days of bliss on the Pembrokeshire coast with my mama and my love,” she wrote.
Sewell has been married twice before. He tied the knot with his first wife, fashion journalist Yasmin Abdallah, in 1999, before divorcing one year later. He wed producer Amy Gardner in 2004, and the pair — who split in 2006 — share a son, William Douglas, born in in 2002. Sewell also has a 10-year-old daughter, Lola, with hairstylist Ami Komai.
A former Wilhelmina model scout, Benitez has appeared in Arsenal, Criminal Minds and the short films Sky Dancers Grow Up and Don’t Worry, It’s Gonna Be OK.
