“Camera shy” is not in Kim Kardashian’s vocabulary.
Aside from her more than 15 years on reality television, The Kardashians star has stepped into several roles on the big and small screens, dating back to her 2009 acting debut on CSI:NY. Since then, she’s hosted Saturday Night Live, and even lent her voice to two of the PAW Patrol movies as Delores the poodle.
The second eldest Kardashian has also had plenty of cameos in projects playing none other than herself! The SKIMS founder made cameos on a 2009 episode of Brothers, a 2014 episode of 2 Broke Girls and in 2018’s Ocean’s Eight — to name a few.
She recently got critical acclaim for her dramatic portrayal of Siobhan Walsh — the publicist to actress Anna Victoria Alcott played by Emma Roberts — on season 12 of American Horror Story.
And the acting gigs keep coming. Deadline announced Kardashian will be stepping into another Ryan Murphy project that will see her playing the role of a successful L.A. lawyer. Fans can also expect to see the star in an upcoming film titled The 5th Wheel — which she will also produce.

CSI: NY
Kardashian made her acting debut as a femme fatale on the blockbuster procedural in Dec. 2009. On season 6, she played the role of Debbie Fallon, the fiancée of a musician who’s been accused of murder. We think it’s safe to say, she killed it (pun intended).
Drop Dead Diva
Orange is the new, designer? Kardashian, the fashion-forward figure, traded in Prada for prison garb when cast as the character Nikki LePree on the Lifetime show Drop Dead Diva in 2012. This episode showed the star behind bars after stealing a young woman’s life’s savings. Kardashian appeared in multiple episodes of the series that summer.
Beyond the Break
Surf’s up! The SKIMS creator landed the role as Elle on the N’s scripted surf series, Beyond the Break, where she played Vin’s possessive girlfriend, which premiered in June 2009.
“The most challenging part of playing the role of Elle was just trying to be the mean girl,” Kardashian said. “I’ve never really been that outspoken girl. It’s the confrontation that I’m not used to, so I think doing that was really kind of refreshing in a weird sick way.”
Disaster Movie
Kardashian’s character, Lisa, saw herself surrounded by a series of catastrophic events and numerous natural disasters in the 2008 flick. During an appearance on the ABC reality show Big Fan almost a decade after the film premiered, Kardashian revealed that she’s not particularly proud of this one. “I’m mortified if you have the clip,” she admitted. “I can’t watch.”
Deep in the Valley
Kardashian starred alongside Denise Richards, Chris Pratt, and Scott Cann in Deep in the Valley, an adult comedy that hit theaters in 2008. The film follows two slobs who find themselves teleported to a fantasy world of pornography on an unrated adventure.
Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor
The actress took a stab at a dramatic role, playing Ava (alongside Vanessa Williams and Brandy Norwood) in the 2013 movie, Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Councelor. The film is about Judith, a marriage counselor who falls into a romantic relationship with one of her clients (and things get complicated). Ava is an employee who works alongside Judith.
Perry faced criticism after casting Kardashian, but he defended his decision, saying he thought the young fans she would attract would benefit from the film’s message.
“I thought, what better person! She literally has millions of young people following her,” he wrote on his personal website in 2012. “I thought and still do think, that it would be very responsible of her to be a part of this film. To have the young people that look up to her, see her in a film that is about, what happens in life when you make the wrong choices.”
Saturday Night Live
Kardashian made her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live on Oct. 9, 2021. She started off with a bang, poking fun at her family in her opening monologue with nods at Caitlyn Jenner and mom Kris Jenner’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble.
Later on, she starred alongside soon-to-be boyfriend Pete Davidson in an Aladdin inspired skit where she and the comedian locked lips. In another skit, she stepped into a Bachelorette-style role where she was joined by numerous celeb suitors including Blake Griffin, Chris Rock, John Cena, Jesse Williams, Chace Crawford, and real Bachelor Nation star Tyler Cameron.
PAW Patrol: The Movie
In 2021, Kardashian lent her voice to PAW Patrol: The Movie, where she played a newcomer to the group, a poodle named Delores. Two years later, she revisited the role in PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie and was joined by two very special costars — her son Saint and daughter North!
American Horror Story
The mom of four stepped into the American Horror Story universe in 2023 when she appeared as Siobhan Walsh, the publicist to actress Anna Victoria Alcott played by Emma Roberts, on season 12 of the series.
“It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow,” she told of starring in the series. “I like to challenge myself.”
