The actress shared what "feeds her soul," emphasizing that "the rest is just noise" in a candid discussion about balancing work and motherhood.

Brooke Shields provided a heartfelt and unfiltered glimpse into how she juggles her career and motherhood, admitting, "I’m always tired."

The 59-year-old actress was answering questions in an Instagram video for her haircare line, Commence, when the account IV Juice Bar asked, “How is your soul feeling? I’m a tired mom and business owner.”

“My soul is okay,” Shields responded. “If you're a mom, you're tired. If you’re a business owner, you’re tired. So I’m always tired.”

She continued, “The real kicker is that after a certain age, I've stopped sleeping. It's not for the faint of heart.”

“It’s just all, like, difficult,” said Shields, who launched Commence, a haircare line for women over 40, this year.

“What really matters most to me, deep down, is my family and their health,” continued Shields, who shares two children — Rowan Francis Henchy, 21, and Grier Hammond Henchy, 18, with her husband Chris Henchy.

Shields added, “The fact that I’m still standing — those things feed my soul.”

Last year, the actress offered an unfiltered look at her experience growing up in the spotlight as a teen model in the Hulu documentary Pretty Baby, where she revealed she’d been sexually assaulted.

“You see it all together, and it’s a miracle I survived,” Shields told earlier this year.

On Instagram, the Mother of the Bride star shared, “When I really take stock of the few, but amazing, people in my inner circle, they feed me, they feed my soul.”

She also mentioned the furry members of her family, adding, “my puppy — even though she throws up and pees everywhere — feeds my soul in a bizarre stinky way.” The puppy, a black-and-white pup named Tuzi, joined Shields' family last year after the death of her longtime beloved dog, Pepper.

“There are things that feed my soul that I have to hold onto,” Shields continued, “because if they were all gone, then I think I would crumble.”

“The rest is just noise. Numbers suck. Finances are difficult. I don't know anybody who has it easy. These days it's all a hustle,” she said.

Shields concluded with kind words for the woman who asked the initial question: “I wish you the best in your business and with your children. They’re lucky to have a mom like you who works so hard.”
