"I grew up on these products," Jason stated on X, "and I was a perfectly healthy, fit child."
Jason Kelce is defending his new cereal mix.
After the Today show posted a segment about Jason and Travis Kelce’s new cereal, Kelce Mix, on X, user @calleymeans retweeted the clip with a critical remark.

“Athletes should stop sponsoring food that destroys kids’ metabolic health,” the tweet read, attributed to Calley Means, co-founder of the health payment company TrueMed.
“Some things are more important than money,” Means added, tagging Travis, Jason, and Today in the post.
Kelce Mix is a blend of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, and Reese’s Puffs, which are some of the brothers' favorite cereals. Jason, 36, responded to the critique within hours, sharing his personal experience with these cereals.
“I grew up on these products, Calley, and I was a perfectly healthy, fit child because I enjoyed them in moderation and used them for quick meals when both my parents didn’t have time to cook,” Jason replied on X.
“I appreciate your efforts to spread information on healthy living, and I take the obesity epidemic seriously, especially for children. However, there is room to enjoy cereal, ice cream, and candy in moderation as part of a balanced lifestyle,” continued the Super Bowl champion, who shares three children with his wife, Kylie Kelce.
Means also commented on his original post, criticizing Today for covering the cereal launch but not mentioning his sister’s bestselling health-focused book, *Good Energy*, which he co-wrote.

Jason and Travis, 34, announced their partnership with General Mills for their new cereal blend in July, at their campaign video.
In the video, the NFL stars engage in humorous brotherly antics. The clip starts with Travis holding a bowl of cereal and a spoon, exclaiming, “I got the Honey Nut Cheerios choo choo train!”
The camera then shifts to Jason, who is caught midway through a giant Cheerio, about to slide down a pink slide. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end then feeds his older brother a bite of cereal as the Honey Nut Cheerios mascot looks on.
This clip is the first in a series of videos from General Mills featuring the famous brothers. Future segments will show Travis and Jason competing in cereal-themed challenges named “Cinnadust Sprayer” and “Lucky Charms Marshmallow Mission,” according to the company.
In addition to Kelce Mix, General Mills is releasing limited-edition versions of four of their cereals featuring the Kelce brothers on the box. These special editions will be available in stores nationwide for a limited time in September.
