Lets check out whats sizzling up in the latest episode of Grey's Anatomy.
Lucas Adams (Niko Terho) walked in on Simone Gryphon (Alexis Floyd) trying on her wedding gown as the big day approached. After hooking up earlier this season, their roommate Mika Yasuda (Midori Francis) almost referred to him as the groom but stopped herself, stating, "It's bad luck for the bride to see the roommate before the wedding."
Following the blunder and realisation of how his ADHD symptoms had affected him, he told Simone about his condition and finally acknowledged his true emotions for her. "Don't get married, I see you...and I love everything I see." Prior to Lucas' confession, they were tasked with assisting a patient named Ray, an illustrator who was terrified of having surgery to repair an abdominal aortic aneurysm. When Ray attempted to leave the hospital without receiving treatment, Simone became concerned that he was a "ticking time bomb." Lucas took charge of the situation, using his own sketches to soothe the patient and explain how the surgery worked. "If a problem arises," he assured him, "we have solutions."
Ray agreed to the procedure despite his belief that he would live to be 30. However, his aneurysm ruptured when he was having a CT scan. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) conducted surgery on the spot, but he did not survive. She stated, "Time of death: 15:21." Lucas was in charge of informing Ray's family of his death. Nick Marsh (Scott Speedman) informs Lucas after the chat, "Those calls are never easy." The topic then shifted to Lucas' ADHD diagnosis, which Nick first mentioned in last week's programme. Lucas discovered that he had all of the symptoms of the ailment after conducting his own research and puzzled how it was missed by his family of doctors.
When Nick suggested that they were busy, he responded, "Maybe they were too busy being disappointed in me." Teddy and Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) also announced that Nick and Winston Ndugu (Anthony Hill) were nominated for the Catherine Fox Award, along with his former Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary). Nick sought to avoid a confrontation with Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), who left Seattle without discussing it with him earlier this season and declined to attend the awards night, despite Winston's nomination with Maggie.
"Very few Black men have been nominated for this award, so I will be there," he explained to Richard. Richard was disappointed to find that Nick would be missing the festivities and urged on his presence to honour his wife Katherine Avery (Debbie Allen) and the hospital. After discussing the award with Lucas, Nick changed his mind. "If there's still room on the plane," he assured Richard, "I can put aside my feelings about Boston."
Sam Sutton (Sam Page), the patient who fractured more than 75 bones, was still in the hospital, but instead of focusing on his recovery, he wanted to get to know Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) after flirting with her before to his life-saving surgery. He inquired of Atticus "Link" Lincoln (Chris Carmack) whether the doctor with "Disney princess eyes" aka Jo was indeed single or if she said so "because I was dying." Link was taken aback and inquired, "She said that?"
"Don't you think it's a little inappropriate to tell a patient you're single?" he asked Jo after Sam's admittance. She said that she admired his "chivalry," but that she could manage herself. When she was summoned to Sam's room, he continued to flirt with her and thanked her for saving his life. He discovered she had tracked his social media account after discussing his background. However, Sam experienced a problem that cut off his leg's blood flow. Jo rushed into action to solve the problem, doing surgery at the bedside. "You are my hero," he informed her. "Please sign my cast." Their friendship became stronger, and she volunteered to soothe an itch on his neck, but Link strolled in and appeared uneasy.
Levi Schmitt (Jake Borelli) attempted to persuade Taryn Helm (Jaicy Elliot) to rejoin the Grey Sloan Memorial resident programme following her talk with Richard on last week's episode regarding her burnout difficulties. "You get to save lives in your pyjamas," he told her. When Schmitt came at the bar later, she informed him that she had consented to return to the hospital after Webber chose to make her co-chief resident alongside Schmitt. Mika then showed up at the pub to confess her affections for Helm. "I like you, I like you," she said.If you're not interested, that's fine; at least I asked," she said before inviting her to Simone's wedding. She agreed to Helm becoming Mika's new employer when she figured out the logistics.
