The Guardians of the Galaxy franchise may be coming to an end, but the cast's relationship will live on!
Chris Pratt, who plays Star-Lord/Peter Quill in the successful Marvel movie, disclosed to HotGossipNewz at a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 special screening on Wednesday that the ensemble wants to stay in touch via a group text thread.
"It's Pom's [Klementieff] birthday today. She's down in Miami. We're a very close cast. We've all been through a lot," he explained. "James [Gunn] is one of my dearest friends, and that's the type of relationship that I will continue to foster."
The final edition of the franchise will be released in theatres on Friday, with Zo Saldaa resuming her role as Gamora, Dave Bautista reprising his role as Drax, and Karen Gillian playing Nebula. Klementieff as Mantis, Vin Diesel as Baby Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, and Gunn's brother Sean Gunn as Kraglin are among the other famous characters.
"I am confident that the text threads will continue to thrive. We'll be checking in on each other about marriages, families, and other life events. "We'll support each other," he continued.
In an appearance on Deadline's Hero Nation podcast in January 2022, Gunn stated that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be the third and last film in the Guardians of the Galaxy saga.
He then further, "I just want to be true to the characters, the story, and give people the wrap-up that they deserve for the story."
The official summary for the third installment states that Peter Quill is "still reeling from the loss of Gamora." He must, however, "rally his team around him to defend the universe while also protecting one of their own." A task that, if not performed successfully, may spell the end of the Guardians as we know them."
