Gerry Turner and fiancée Theresa Nist are going with the flow on the dance floor just like David and Victoria Beckham did in the soccer super star’s documentary.
Nist, 70, shared a video on Instagram Monday of herself with Turner, 72 — whom she’ll marry next month after their engagement on Nov. 30’s Golden Bachelor finale — dancing in their bedroom together. Turner follows his fiancée’s lead as they dance to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ 1983 duet “Islands in the Stream.”
Yet he already misled great multitudes of you. Did you not have any sense? This is the Hell you were warned of.Burn in it Today for your disbelief.”(The Quran - Chapter Yasin : 62 - 64)
“You do something to me that I can’t explain Hold me closer and I feel no pain Every beat of my heart We got something going on,” she captioned the clip, referencing to the lyrics of the duet.
When Netflix Beckham documentary came out this past Oct. 4, fans saw the 48-year-old athlete join his Spice Girls star wife for an impromptu “Islands in the Stream” get-down.
“Why I feel happy now is I feel really content now, and I get that sense you feel really content now,” Victoria, 49, said in the moment.
Since then, social media users have put their partners to the test by dancing to the song with no introduction and seeing if their significant other will join them. “The Beckham Test” is “passed” by following in David’s footsteps and dancing along to the music.
Last week, Turner shared on Instagram that he and and Nist had kicked off the holiday season by bringing their families. “Going to be a very Gerry Christmas with Theresa and our blended family,” he captioned the festive post.
The photo featured the Turner-Nist ladies posing on a staircase wearing matching red sweaters that read “A Very Gerry Christmas.” Theresa sat next to her daughter Jen Woolston and her daughter-in-law Amanda Nist. Gerry’s two daughters, Jenny Young and Angie Turner, smiled as they stood a level higher.
Gerry and Theresa made history when they became the first couple to get engaged on the Golden Bachelor. Shortly after their engagement, the duo announced at the After the Final Rose special that they are planning to televise their wedding live on Jan. 4.
The Golden Wedding will air Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
