Brittany Mahomes Recovered After Back Injury

Wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes, declared herself "fully recovered" after earlier claiming her spine was fractured by an injury to her pelvic floor.

"I’m doing great. My back is no longer broken, so that's good," Mahomes, 28, told E! News on Friday.

"I keep up the workout. I think I'm completely well now and can get back to my routines as usual. I place a great deal of importance on staying well, active, and in excellent health for my kids and dogs."

Mahomes earlier revealed on Instagram that she suffered a pelvic floor fracture. She has two children, a three-year-old girl named Sterling Skye and a 17-month-old son named Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III. She is married to her hubby.

"Just a daily reminder," the swimsuit model for Sports Illustrated captioned a Boomerang selfie video she shared on her Instagram Story on March 1.

"Once you have kids, please take care of your pelvic floor. Seriously," she added, signing the message as "A girl with a fractured back."

Although she didn't specify the treatment she received, Mahomes did joke in a subsequent Instagram Story that "vacaying with my homies will maybe make it better?"

To strengthen a weak pelvic floor, the Cleveland Clinic recommends doing Kegel exercises, which include contracting and relaxing the pelvic floor muscles.

Pelvic fractures are dangerous injuries that can have long-term effects on a person's capacity to function and financial status, according to the National Library of Medicine.

Short- and long-term impacts on the reproductive and genitourinary systems are examples of complications.

Dr. Yves-Richard Dole, an ob/gyn with Metropolitan OB/GYN, an affiliate of The Family Childbirth and Children's Center at Mercy, explained to Women’s Health that the pelvic floor is connected to the lower back through ligaments and tissue. "If there is a lack of stability in the pelvic floor, it can lead to further injury," he noted.

Despite these challenges, Mahomes is now fully recovered and happily reports, "I’m living my best life."

The Quran - Chapter An-Najm : 10

Then Allah revealed to His servant what He revealed ˹through Gabriel˺.

فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَىٰ (Thus He [ Allah ] revealed to His slave what He revealed... 53:10) The subject pronoun understood in the past perfect verb awha (He revealed) refers to Allah, and so does the pronoun in ` abdihi (His slave), and the verse means: Allah revealed to His servant Muhammad ﷺ whatever He revealed through the medium of Jibra'il (علیہ السلام) by attaching him so intimately to the Holy Prophet ﷺ .
