"My life has felt so uncertain for over a year now, dealing with both divorce and cancer," shared actress Shannen Doherty.

In a recent episode of her podcast, "Let's Be Clear with Shannen Doherty", the actress opened up about her ongoing struggles with divorce and her cancer journey, acknowledging how "exhausting" it has all been.

"Divorce is never easy, especially when you truly loved the person. I did love my husband," Doherty reflected on her separation from Kurt Iswarienko, ending their 11-year marriage. "When their actions leave you feeling betrayed, it's incredibly hard."

At the same time, the 53-year-old actress is facing significant health challenges as she starts a new round of chemotherapy for her stage 4 breast cancer, which has spread to her bones. "The reality of my situation is different now because I have no idea how long I'll need chemo," Doherty explained. "It could be three months, six months, or we might need to change treatments if it's not working after three months. It's unpredictable and frightening."

Doherty mentioned that her first round of the new chemotherapy was imminent, set to begin shortly after the podcast episode aired. "Entering this unknown phase is daunting. My life has been filled with uncertainties for over a year now, balancing divorce and cancer."

Discussing her separation from Iswarienko, Doherty admitted it has been "unpleasant" and she may "never be ready to disclose all the details" of their breakup. "There are so many nuances that people will never understand," she said. "I don't get why it's so fascinating to others."

She requested privacy as she navigates her divorce and embarks on this new phase of her cancer treatment. "I'm dealing with a lot, and I'll share when I'm ready."

In November 2023, Doherty revealed that her cancer, which had returned after two years of remission, had spread to her bones. She told she felt compelled to "seek a greater purpose in life."

"It might sound cliché, but you become more aware of everything and feel incredibly blessed," she said. "I believe my best moments are still ahead. I pray every day, thanking God and hoping for what truly matters without asking for too much."
