Robin Quivers, the long-time co-host of The Howard Stern Show, is opening up about her journey with hair loss following her endometrial cancer diagnosis in 2012.

In the July 17 episode of SiriusXM’s Stern Show Summer School, the 71-year-old radio personality discussed her hair loss during chemotherapy after executive producer Gary Dell'Abate mentioned her "new hairdo."

Quivers clarified, "Well, it’s my normal hairdo. I lost my hair in the second round of chemo I had to take in 2017, so I’ve been like this since then. Back then, I didn't have much time to decide what to do, so I started wearing wigs. But generally, I don’t wear a wig except on the show."

She added, "The only reason you don’t see my head like this more often is because I freeze in the winter. All the heat escapes from your head, and I’m very much aware of that now, so I have to cover my head during the colder months."

Rahsaan Rogers, host of the Howard Stern Wrap-Up Show, noted that Quivers’ 2023 photoshoot was the first time many saw her without hair. He asked if she felt any hesitation about being so open.

"No, because I don’t wear a wig every day all the time," Quivers replied. She recounted a moment when someone reminded her not to forget her wig as she walked into the studio. Laughing, she told them, "No, I’m showing them a new look today."

In October 2023, Quivers spoke about her diagnosis with a rare form of stage 3C endometrial cancer. The American Cancer Society estimates that 66,000 women will be diagnosed with endometrial cancer this year, making it the most common gynecological cancer in the U.S.

Quivers underwent surgery and a demanding 15-month regimen of radiation and chemotherapy. She was cancer-free for over three years before a relapse in December 2016, and now she receives intermittent immunotherapy infusions.

Despite these challenges, Quivers remains resilient. "It’s difficult to describe my health these days," she told. "When you’re in and out of treatment, you’re always recovering and trying to get back to where you were."

She concluded, "I feel fine. It’s been 11 years of dealing with this, and I’m still here. I’m interested in everyone having a fuller life, more options, and knowing what’s possible."

The Quran - Chapter Al-Mumtahanah: 04

You already have an excellent example in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “We totally dissociate ourselves from you and ˹shun˺ whatever ˹idols˺ you worship besides Allah. We reject you. The enmity and hatred that has arisen between us and you will last until you believe in Allah alone.” The only exception is when Abraham said to his father, “I will seek forgiveness for you,˹” adding, “but˺ I cannot protect you from Allah at all.” ˹The believers prayed,˺ “Our Lord! In You we trust. And to You we ˹always˺ turn. And to You is the final return.
