"Having worked with Jennie on several campaigns, we know firsthand that she is a cultural powerhouse," Calvin Klein's global chief marketing officer, Jonathan Bottomley, said in a news release.
"Her persona, talent, and distinct style have had a significant global impact." "Our collaboration comes from a genuine place - Jennie has been a longtime fan of the brand - and we wanted to deepen that relationship by bringing her personal perspective to our products," Bottomley added. "The end result is a mix of Jennie's coveted style and Calvin Klein's most iconic essentials, which we know will resonate strongly with consumers around the world."
The collection, which takes inspiration from the South Korean pop star's wardrobe necessities, will be available in select Calvin Klein shops and on the brand's website globally beginning May 10, with prices ranging from $25 to $150.
"This collection reflects my everyday style and is based on many Calvin Klein essentials that have become wardrobe staples for me." I wanted to add a personal touch to these items, which you can see in the fit, colour palette, and detailing. "My hope for this collection is that everyone feels as happy and confident in these pieces as I do," stated the 27-year-old Blackpink singer.
The singer, who is also a worldwide ambassador for the brand, described the collection as a "exciting progression" in their collaboration.
Colours in the collection include lilac, chalk blue, desert, and black and white, with pieces including knickers sets, denim, tees, fleece and knits.
"Matching bralettes and bottoms, bodysuits, and soft rib tanks are designed for versatile comfort," the business noted in a press release. "Joggers, tees, dresses, and crewneck sweatshirts are soft and comfortable to wear." A denim shirt and 90s jeans are cool and casual, while a knit top, dress, and sculpting denim bralette and skirt combo are stylish."
