Emily DiDonato just shared an update about her postpartum journey after welcoming her second child in April 2023.
The Victoria’s Secret model shared a new Instagram Reel showing her weight loss journey since giving birth to her 11-month-old son, Oliver on Thursday, April 18. She gave birth to Oliver on April 27, 2023 — and shares the infant and 2 ½-year-old daughter Teddy with husband Kyle Peterson.
The Instagram post included a quick montage of the model lifting weights while working out, with captions that marked the time and how long it had been since she had given birth.
In the first video, DiDonato, 33, wrote on the first video that she was four months postpartum and weighed 175 lbs. In the second video, she shared with viewers that she was 11 months postpartum and weighed 150 lbs.
“11 months of blood, sweat, tears, and boring meals lol,” she captioned the post.
Several followers filled the comment section to thank the mother of two for sharing moments of her weight loss journey.
“I feel so much pressure to be 130 pounds even though I am 5’9” and have two kids under 2 🙃. Thank you for posting your weight in each photo. Makes me feel way more normal,” wrote one user.
Another added, “Thank you for sharing ❤️, you give me hope when I’m 3 days PP and don’t recognize myself! You look amazing and everything you’re doing is not just for yourself but for your babies too 💪🏻.”
Prior to the comparison montage, DiDonato had shared very few glimpses of her postpartum journey, one of which was in September 2023. At the time, she posted an Instagram Reel that included a montage of her taking care of her two kids and then heading to the gym.
Surviving postpartum twice is the equivalent of deadlifting 800 pounds," she captioned the video.
Throughout the video, DiDonato narrates her experience of losing weight postpartum after giving birth to her second child.
“You would think the overnight epic snapback post baby would be a rite of passage given my modeling background, but I'm here to tell you that that is simply not the case,” she began. “It's been really hard to get back into shape post baby number two.”
“I won't lie that in this chapter, I find myself eager to get back to where I was, back to what I looked like, while simultaneously admiring and respecting the hell out of where my body just did. But also deeply wanting to change it, but also deeply wanting to love and accept it,” admitted the model.
“Can you love and appreciate your body but also want to change it at the same time? This is my predicament.” She continued to explain that she tries to focus on her “strength,” adding, “I mean, Lord knows, after pushing out two giant babies and surviving postpartum twice, I'm already even stronger.”
The Quran - Chapter Az-Zukhruf : 61 - 62
And his ˹second˺ coming is truly a sign for the Hour. So have no doubt about it, and follow me. This is the Straight Path.
And do not let Satan hinder you, ˹for˺ he is certainly your sworn enemy.
وَإِنَّهُ لَعِلْمٌ لِّلسَّاعَةِ (And he (Isa علیہ السلام) is a source of knowledge of the Hour [ the day of judgment ] - 43:61). This verse has been explained in two different ways.
One is that Sayyidna ` Isa (علیہ السلام) being born without a father is a proof to the fact that Allah Almighty can create people without apparent causes. Thus resurrecting the dead is not at all difficult for Him. But most exegetes have taken this verse in another sense.
According to them it means that the descent of Sayyidna ` Isa (علیہ السلام) from the sky is a sign of the Doomsday. And his coming to this world again in its last days and killing Dajjal (the Antichrist) is proved by mutawatir ahadith.
Some details on this subject have already been given in the explanation of the verse (3:54-55) of Surah 'Al-` Imran, (See V, 2, pp.76 onward of this book) and in Surah Nisa' 3:54-55 (See V. 2, PP. 622 onward of this book) and some in Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:110).
