Tammy Slaton is getting a lot of praise as she continues her weight loss journey.
On April 15, the 1000-Lb. Sisters star posted a series of photos on Instagram. The 37-year-old smiled in several selfies and even showed off the new addition to her family, a pet cat she named Chocolate.
In the comments section, Slaton received numerous compliments on how good she looks, with many fans boasting that her collarbone is now visible following her dramatic weight loss.
“Holy neck bones!! 😃 You look great girl!! So proud of you!! 😘” one fan wrote while another commented, “Well done on your weight loss. It's fantastic 👏 and a huge achievement.”
“Yas girl check them collarbones. Looking good sis,” another person said. “You are looking very healthy.”
Slaton’s bariatric surgeon Dr. Eric Smith even showed her some love, writing, “You are killing it!”
Smith — medical director of the Kentucky Bariatric Institute — has treated Slaton throughout her entire weight loss journey.
In December 2023, the reality star told about the milestones she has achieved since losing 440 lbs., down from her highest weight of 725 lbs. She had bariatric surgery in July 2022 and is now down to 285 lbs.
“One of the big changes that I have gone through this past year is probably small to most people,” Slaton said. “But for me it was huge.”
“Just being able to walk without a walker or be pushed in a wheelchair, and no oxygen. I don't even sleep with it at night anymore,” she boasted. “Then it was being able to fit in a regular vehicle, front seat, and then the belt buckle, and not have to use an extender now. So I mean, just what seems minor to some people is giant for me.”
At the time, Smith recalled the moment Slaton told him about being able to buckle her seatbelt in the car. He admitted that he wants Tammy to continue celebrating those non-scale victories rather than the number on the scale.
“I remember the first time I got a picture that she sent me of her riding the front seat in a car with a seatbelt, things that we may take for granted,” Smith told at the time. “That was a huge accomplishment for her when she used to be coming to my office in the back of a minivan with the seats removed because that was the only way that they could transport her.”
“For Tammy, I told her don't get so caught up in a number. Enjoy the ride getting there. I want her to enjoy what we call those non-scale victories, the ability to be more mobile by herself,” he said. “I'm proud of her for those weight or number goals, but what I'm most proud about is the goals that she's achieving of actually living a healthier and happier life.”
The Quran - Chapter Az-Zukhruf : 60
Had We willed, We could have easily replaced you ˹all˺ with angels, succeeding one another on earth.
وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَا مِنكُم مَّلَائِكَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ يَخْلُفُونَ (and if we will, We may create angels from you who succeed you on the earth...43:60) This is in reply to the gravely mistaken conclusion drawn by Christians from the miraculous birth of Sayyidna ` Isa (علیہ السلام) without a father as a result of which they attributed godhead to him, and started worshipping him. Allah Ta ala states to controvert their argument that Sayyidna 'Isa's (علیہ السلام) birth was merely a demonstration of His power, and He has the power to do even more supernatural things like creating Sayyidna 'Adam (علیہ السلام) without father and mother. And if He wills, He may do as unprecedented things as causing angels to be born out of human beings.
