The Jonas Brothers are making adjustments to their tour schedule to prioritize Nick Jonas's well-being.
In a jointly shared video on both The Jonas Brothers Instagram and Nick's personal Instagram account on Friday, May 3, the 31-year-old singer, clad in a green sweatshirt, addressed his followers with some unfortunate news.
"I regret to inform you all that I've been feeling quite unwell lately," he began, his voice noticeably strained. "A couple of days ago, I woke up to find myself completely voiceless, yet I soldiered through the night to ensure we could still perform our show in Cancun."
Nick revealed that his condition has deteriorated significantly in the subsequent days, confining him to bed with symptoms including a fever, body aches, and a sore throat. Following a medical evaluation, he was diagnosed with Influenza A.
"This morning, I came to the realization that my condition hasn't improved, and unfortunately... I won't be able to take the stage tonight for our shows in Mexico City and Monterrey," expressed the "Jealous" singer.
"I need to focus on recuperating and overcoming this illness. I'm truly sorry; I despise letting you all down. Your unwavering support means the world to us, and I'm deeply saddened by this turn of events."
Nick concluded the video by assuring fans that the Jonas Brothers would promptly reschedule the Mexico dates and ensure that everything is rectified. Signing off with a message of love to his supporters, he expressed hope for a swift return to health, promising to be back onstage as soon as possible.
The ongoing Jonas Brothers tour, featuring Nick alongside his older siblings Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas, was originally slated to conclude in Monterrey on Tuesday, May 7, before recommencing on September 9 in Belfast, Ireland.
In the caption accompanying the video post, Nick informed fans that new dates for the Mexico shows had already been arranged. Set for August 21 and 22 in Mexico City, and August 24 and 25 in Monterrey, these rescheduled dates aim to ensure a memorable experience for fans.
"I'm currently unable to perform," Nick penned in the caption. "Our priority is always to deliver the best possible show, and unfortunately, I'm not in a position to do so for these Mexico shows at present."
The Quran - Chapter Al-Fath : 01 - 03
Indeed, We have granted you a clear triumph ˹O Prophet˺
so that Allah may forgive you for your past and future shortcomings, perfect His favour upon you, guide you along the Straight Path,
and so that Allah will help you tremendously.
In the sixth year of the Hijrah, the Prophet Muhammad left Madinah for Makkah along with his companions, so that he could perform the rite of pilgrimage there.
He had reached Hudaybiyyah when the pagans of Makkah came forward and barred his way, saying that they would not allow him to enter Makkah.
Mutual negotiations followed, as a result of which a peace treaty was drawn up and signed by both sides.
This treaty was executed apparently on the unilateral terms and conditions dictated by the polytheists.
As a consequence, the companions of the Prophet Muhammad were very disheartened: they considered it a degrading treaty.
But on the way back from Hudaybiyyah, this verse was revealed, ‘We have granted you a clear victory.’
The reason for this was that according to this Treaty it was agreed that for ten years there would be no war between the Muslims and polytheists.
The end of fighting was in fact synonymous to the opening of the door of dawah. After the Hijrah (migration to Madinah), due to incessant fighting, dawah activity had stopped.
Now the truce had created an open atmosphere in which there could be a free exchange of thought between the opponents.
In this way, this treaty changed the sphere of combat. Formerly, the competition between the two sides had been held on the battlefield where the Muslims’ antagonists had the upper hand.
Now rivalry shifted to the field of intellect and in this, the theory of the one God clearly triumphed over polytheism.
Here now was the ‘straight path’, i.e. the way which made the victory of the flag-bearers of monotheism an absolute certainty.
