Kimberly Williams-Paisley recently shared an update about her health following a surgery she underwent.

On Saturday, August 17, the "Father of the Bride" actress posted on Instagram, revealing that she had surgery to address damage to her laryngeal nerve. For nearly two years, she had been struggling with her voice.

“I’ve been dealing with something,” Williams-Paisley began in her post, which included a series of photos showing her in a hospital bed, wearing a gown, and displaying a significant scar on her neck. She even included a warning image before the scar photo, along with a drawing of a face that her brother had doodled over the scar with a marker.

She went on to explain how it all started: “Almost two years ago, I lost my voice while onstage at my Alzheimer’s event in Nashville. It was both embarrassing and frightening, and my voice never fully returned,” she shared. “It’s been a tough couple of years, but we finally figured out the cause.”

The 52-year-old actress revealed that she had suffered damage to her laryngeal nerve and had tried "everything" to heal her voice on her own. She added that she didn’t need any advice from her followers, as she had exhausted all options.

This week, she was finally able to have surgery at Vanderbilt Health with the help of expert surgeons. "It’s sounding so much better now!" she wrote. "And I’ve got a bada" scar that’s smiling at me across my neck."

Despite her vocal challenges, the "We Are Marshall" star has kept busy this summer. In mid-July, she had a "low-key" lunch with her friend Meghan Markle at Tre Lune in Montecito, California.

Just a day before revealing her surgery, Williams-Paisley, who shares two teenage boys with her husband, Brad Paisley, reached out to her Instagram followers for advice on parenting a high school senior.

"Summer 2024 is officially over, and this week I have my first high school senior!" she captioned a sunset photo. "Parents who’ve been through this: Please share your wisdom. My eyes keep getting wet! 🙏🏻❤️😳."

The Quran - Chapter At-Tahrim : 03

˹Remember˺ when the Prophet had ˹once˺ confided something to one of his wives, then when she disclosed it ˹to another wife˺ and Allah made it known to him, he presented ˹to her˺ part of what was disclosed and overlooked a part. So when he informed her of it, she exclaimed, “Who told you this?” He replied, “I was informed by the All-Knowing, All-Aware.”
