The pair celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Sunday, with Wilson posting a lovely shot of Hanks presenting her with a cake on Instagram and Twitter.
"It's been 35 years of marriage. April 30, 1988. "It's all about love," she wrote.

Hanks, 66, gazes adoringly at his wife while carrying a cake covered with yellow frosted flowers and the words "Happy Anniversary" etched on top.
Wilson, 66, sits beside him, her hand resting on her cheek, smiling at the delectable dessert.
Their romance began four decades ago, when they met on the set of ABC's sitcom Bosom Buddies in 1981.
Though they were only friends at first because Hanks was married to his college sweetheart Samantha Lewes at the time, they made their relationship public in 1986.
Hanks and Wilson married in 1988 after dating for two years and had two children, Chester "Chet" Hanks and Truman Theodore Hanks. (Wilson is also the stepmother of Hanks' two eldest children, Colin, 45, and Elizabeth, 40.)
In December, the singer-songwriter spoke to HotGossipNewz about slowing down her career while her children were young and supporting her husband's career.
"I slowed my work because I really wanted to be the mom who was there when they got home, drove the carpool and did all of those things," she explained. "Because Tom worked a lot, we would travel with him. My children would have suffered if both of us were working and not at home. Slowing down my profession is not a sacrifice; rather, it is a choice."
Wilson claimed she never felt anything but happy for Hanks as his career progressed during that time.
"Tom and I have always been very supportive of each other and what we do," she explained. "When I used to do press junkets, interviewers would say to me, 'Gosh, it must be so difficult to be with someone so renowned.' 'Why are they saying that?' I'd think. Then I saw the question was really about them and how they would feel in that situation rather than about me."
