Andy Cohen made a surprise cameo during the premiere of American Horror Story: Delicate — and used the moment to make a joke about Tom Sandoval.
Cohen, 55, appeared as himself in the first episode of season 12, after Emma Roberts’ character, actress Anna Alcott, landed a coveted one-on-one interview on Watch What Happens Live.
During Anna’s visit to the late-night talk show, the two discuss her latest movie, The Auteur, with Cohen saying that her role “is so good it seems that any actress would kill for it.”
Anna then replies, telling the host, “You are absolutely right. And I did kill somebody for the part … But I can’t tell you who.”
“Well, that was gonna be my next question,” Cohen says before Anna teases, “I can give you a hint though: No one will miss him!”
That’s when Cohen replies with a dig at the Vanderpump Rules star, saying, “I know, Tom Sandoval.”
“Uh, no, but I f — — — Tom Sandoval to get on this show,” the actress jokingly shoots back about appearing on WWHL.
While Anna did not sleep with Sandoval, her interview with Cohen came about thanks to the work of her publicist, Siobhan Corbyn. Played by Kim Kardashian, who is making her American Horror Story debut, Corbyn wasted no time getting her client media attention as she started acting again.
Adapted from the book, Delicate Condition, season 12 follows Anna as she navigates a return to acting while trying to conceive a child through IVF, with things seemingly headed down a dark and twisted path.
Described as a modern-day Rosemary’s Baby, the latest season of AHS also stars Cara Delevingne, Julie White, Matt Czuchry, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez as well as Succession alums Annabelle Dexter-Jones and Juliana Canfield.
The mention of Sandoval, meanwhile, follows the reality star’s recent relationship scandal — dubbed Scandoval — involving an affair with costar Rachel “Raquel” Leviss that led to a public fallout and subsequent breakup with his girlfriend of nine years, Ariana Madix.
The drama, which unfolded in real time last year, was also captured on season 10 of Vanderpump Rules, which aired from Feb. 8 to June 14, 2023, with episodes overlapping with the filming of Delicate, which started in late April.
While Cohen did not comment about the scene on any of his social media platforms, he did reshare a clip of his cameo recorded by another user to his Instagram Story.
