Meghan McCain is opening up about the pressure she feels to lose weight. In her latest podcast, Citizen McCain, published on May 17, she talks about her recent New York City trip, where she did a bunch of on-the-record press interviews.
On the train home, she decided to check out her social media feeds and read some comments.
This is one of the reasons why I don’t do interviews as much because most of the feedback I get is that I’m fat, that I look like Brendan Fraser from.

In the episode, McCain also expressed her sympathy for famous people like Kelly Clarkson who talk about taking Ozempic or any other method to lose weight.
"It must be really painful to feel that way every day of your life," she said. "I don't want to be in front of cameras anymore because I'm not going to starve myself, and people have a real issue with that.
"No matter what you tell me, none of it matters if you don't lose weight. I don't want Ozempic, I don't want a breast lift or liposuction, and I'm afraid of surgery," she said, adding that going on the drug would be the last thing on her list of things to do.
McCain also discussed how often people asked her about her weight, and how often she received messages about it She was encouraged to take the medication four weeks subsequent to having a child in February 2023.
I can't completely accept that how frequently individuals tell me, "I would rather not take a prescription that I don't think I really want since I'm solid," she said, taking note of that she had her actual in January of this current year.
"In any case, I likewise don't have any desire to be compelled to step through an exam medication to fulfill another person's guidelines. I can't believe how much pressure I still feel."
Later on in the podcast, Ms. McCain reflected on the difficult experience of watching her father struggle with brain cancer. "I know what it's like to watch your body deteriorate before your eyes," she said, "but I'm lucky to be here, and I'm lucky to have a husband who still thinks I'm sexy."
