Mandy Moore, the star of "This Is Us", is expecting her third child with husband Taylor Goldsmith and is currently dealing with a skin condition during her pregnancy.
The 40-year-old actress revealed on her Instagram Stories that she developed melasma, a skin condition, during her third pregnancy, according to E! News.
On June 30, Moore posted a photo of herself with her eyes closed, using a Lyma Laser on her temple. The device is claimed to deliver "unrivaled results on signs of aging, wrinkles, rosacea, pigmentation, skin elasticity, and scarring," according to the company’s website.
"Pregnancy melasma is the pits," Moore wrote in her post. "I heard @lymalife can help."
Melasma is a harmless skin condition that causes brown or blue-gray patches or "freckle-like spots" on the skin, most commonly appearing on the cheeks, nose, chin, upper lip, and forehead, as explained by the Cleveland Clinic. The condition is common among pregnant individuals, affecting 15-20% of those expecting.
In May, Moore announced that she and Goldsmith are expecting a baby girl, sharing the news in a joint Instagram post. "Sometimes life imitates art. The third in our own Big Three coming soon," the couple captioned the post, referring to Moore’s character's three children in her hit NBC show. The couple also has two sons, Augustus "Gus," 3, and Oscar "Ozzie," 19 months.
Last month, Moore spoke about how her current pregnancy differs from her previous ones. The singer and actress noted that she is "just chasing two wild toddlers" this time around. "So that's the biggest difference," she added.
New episodes of "This Is Us" air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
