Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, a former star of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' has candidly opened up about her ongoing battle with invasive melanoma, revealing that she is preparing for yet another surgery.

At 43, Mellencamp Arroyave has already undergone 15 surgeries to combat this aggressive skin cancer. Recently, she shared the somber news of her latest skin check, which resulted in the removal of two more suspicious spots.

"The results came in at the beginning of this week, and I've been trying to put on a brave face since receiving the call," she said. She was at an important horse show with her daughter Slate, 11, who is passionate about horseback riding, when she received the news.

"I do, in fact, have another melanoma, which means another surgery and more tough conversations with my kids," Mellencamp Arroyave wrote. She and her husband Edwin have three children: Slate, Dove, 4, and Cruz, 9.

This new diagnosis, she admitted, has left her grappling with a mix of trying to stay positive while also feeling deeply saddened.

Melanoma, as explained by VeryWell Health, is less common than other skin cancers but is the most dangerous due to its potential to quickly spread to other organs if not caught early. Early detection typically calls for surgical removal, while immunotherapy is another treatment option. However, Mellencamp Arroyave previously shared in December that immunotherapy was unsuccessful for her.

In April, she had her fifteenth melanoma removed from her arm. Reflecting on her recent diagnosis, she admitted feeling anxious due to new sensations in her neck and back that she hadn't experienced before.

On her podcast, Two T’s in a Pod, she offered a hopeful note, saying, "I know I will be okay in the end. We caught this one within 90 days and in the earlier stages, and for that, I am very grateful."

She expressed her gratitude towards the medical professionals, her family, friends, horses, and her work. Yet, she also acknowledged the importance of being kind to herself, recognizing it's okay to have feelings of fear and sadness.

"It's okay to binge-watch 55 episodes of Love Island for a mental escape and to have 677 unread emails," she wrote. "Tomorrow will be better, and if it's not, I will keep fighting until it is."

She concluded her message with a plea to her followers, urging them to book their skin checks. "If you are going through something and feel sad, scared, or alone – I feel you, and we will fight through these unknowns together," she wrote.

When it is said to them, “Come! The Messenger of Allah will pray for you to be forgiven,” they turn their heads ˹in disgust˺, and you see them ˹O Prophet˺ turn away in arrogance.
