William Hart died after breathing difficulties in Philadelphia.

The lead singer of legendary Philadelphia soul act the Delfonics, William Hart well known as "Poogie" passed away at the age of 77.

Hart could not survived in an on going surgery after complaining difficult breathing at Philadelphia’s Temple University Hospital. 

In 1970, the band Delfonics lead by Hart famously known for the Philadelphia’s vibrant soul dominated FM radio with songs like "Didn't I", "La-La Means I Love You", "Ready or Not Here I Come" and many more hits marked with unusual punctuations in their titles. 

The group, originally called the "Orphonics", was co-founded by Hart with his brother Wilbert. The two were later joined by singers Randy Cain and Major Harris.
