Christine Brown is happy to be done with games involving her heart.
In an Instagram post shared on Monday, the 51-year-old Sister Wives star revealed some of the reasons she was looking forward to tying the knot with her fiancé David Woolley.
“I’m excited to be marrying @david__woolley, he loves spending time with me every day, doesn’t play games with my heart and wants me to be me,” she captioned a photo of the happy couple smiling on a boat.
Christine concluded her post with a series of hashtags, “#grateful #soulmate #noplayinggames #loveofmylife.”
This isn’t the first time that she’s opened up about how her new relationship has differed from her marriage of 25 years with ex Kody Brown.
The reality star admitted she always had a gut feeling that Kody wasn’t the one. Christine claimed that she never believed in “soulmates” until she met David.
“I never thought that I would be in a relationship with someone who would get me so well,” she explained. “He gets me so well and he understands, and he doesn’t care about all the extra stuff that comes with me. Because there’s a lot, I’m fairly complicated.”
Christine said her life with David was “simple” in the best way, adding, “I didn’t know I could have a simple life with somebody.”
“I didn’t know I would find a soulmate,” she gushed. “ I totally found a soulmate. He’s totally my soulmate and I didn’t even know.”
In April 2023, the reality star announced the duo were engaged after going public with their relationship on Valentine’s Day. Before David, Christine was spiritually married to Kody and welcomed their children Paedon, Aspyn, Mykelti, Gwendlyn and Ysabel. In November 2021, Christine announced her decision to separate on Instagram.
At the time, she said they’d “grown apart,” adding, “We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family.”
During the Sister Wives: One on One special, the Brown family patriarch claimed he was hopeful for Christine to find new love.
“One of the kids told me, ‘Dad, you have your soulmate, and she wants hers,” Kody recalled. “Well, I hope she finds her soulmate.”
