It seems Christina Applegate shared some deeply personal experiences on her podcast, MeSsy, co-hosted with Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
In the latest episode titled "Can I Be Honest?," she recounted how she ended up needing to use diapers after contracting a virus from a contaminated salad.
Applegate, aged 52, went into detail about how her health ordeal unfolded, starting with contracting COVID-19 from a friend who went bowling and brought the virus home.
This initial infection developed into long-term COVID, leading to complications such as a chest infection and erratic heart behavior. Applegate, who disclosed her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) in August 2021, bravely shared these difficult experiences with her audience.
It's evident she's being candid about her health struggles, likely aiming to raise awareness and provide support to others facing similar challenges.
Christina Applegate shared harrowing details about her health ordeal on the MeSsy podcast. She described experiencing severe symptoms, including diarrhea so intense she felt dizzy and incapacitated. After undergoing a stool test, she was diagnosed with sapovirus, a cause of acute gastroenteritis often spread through fecal matter contamination in food. Applegate recounted the distressing realization that she had likely ingested someone else's fecal matter, leading to her illness.
She attributed the virus to a takeout salad from a restaurant she had patronized for years, recalling waking up in the middle of the night in a distressing situation. Dealing with such a scenario, especially with her MS, was challenging, leading her to resort to wearing diapers.
Applegate's candidness about her health struggles sheds light on the difficulties she faced and the impact of her illnesses on her daily life. Her openness may help others going through similar challenges feel understood and supported.
Christina Applegate and Jamie-Lynn Sigler discussed the challenges of wearing adult diapers on their podcast. Sigler, who also has multiple sclerosis (MS), agreed with Applegate's sentiments that these diapers aren't aesthetically pleasing or comfortable. Sigler described the typical blush pink color and decorative designs often found on adult diapers, acknowledging that wearing them doesn't make one feel attractive or confident. Instead, it's a necessity when the body isn't functioning properly.
While Sigler didn't specify when she contracted the virus, the podcast clarified that parts of the episode were recorded in 2023. Their conversation sheds light on the realities of dealing with health issues like MS and the adjustments individuals have to make to maintain their quality of life.
Jamie-Lynn Sigler expressed that their podcast isn't solely about their individual experiences but about confronting difficult situations and finding ways to persevere. She emphasized feeling a strong sense of responsibility and vulnerability in sharing such personal aspects of their lives. Sigler admitted to feeling a unique level of apprehension about this project because of the depth of their disclosures.
When asked about challenges of living with MS that may not be widely understood, Christina Applegate highlighted one aspect: the difficulty in controlling bladder function. She candidly mentioned the need for diapers due to the inability to reach the bathroom in time, shedding light on a lesser-known aspect of living with MS. Their openness in discussing these issues aims to raise awareness and foster understanding among their audience.
The Quran - Chapter Ad-Dukhan : 56 - 59
There they will never taste death, beyond the first death. And He will protect them from the punishment of the Hellfire—
as ˹an act of˺ grace from your Lord. That is ˹truly˺ the ultimate triumph.
Indeed, We have made this ˹Quran˺ easy in your own language ˹O Prophet˺ so perhaps they will be mindful.
Wait then! They too are certainly waiting.
لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا الْمَوْتَ إِلَّا الْمَوْتَةَ الْأُولَىٰ (They will not taste death therein, except for the first death (they faced in the world) - 44:56). In other words, they shall suffer no death other than the first death which they had encountered at the end of their lives in this world.
The dwellers of Hell as well will suffer only one death at the end of their lives in this world. The latter, however, will suffer a greater degree of torture when they will know that they will remain alive in this miserable state of punishment, whereas for the former the thought that Allah has saved them from the torment of the Hell, that the gardens of Paradise are eternal, that they will enjoy the delights of paradise for ever and its blessings will never cease or be taken away from them, will enhance the degree of their happiness, never to diminish .
