Diagnosed with MS at the age of 26 in April 2012, shortly after the birth of his daughter Pearl Clementine with his now ex-wife Lisa Stelly, Osbourne has since explored various treatment options. He mentioned that he relies heavily on supplementation and has undergone several alternative therapy treatments over the years, opting out of traditional MS medications for the time being.

"I've always leaned towards alternative therapies," he said, recalling a recent procedure called bio-cellular therapy, which involved injecting cells into his spinal discs. This treatment, though not directly related to MS, aligns with his general approach to managing his health. The Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies defines cellular therapy as the transplantation of human cells to replace or repair damaged tissue and cells.

Osbourne explained that his recent spine procedure, known as disc seal, reflects his preference for alternative treatments. "I like the notion of alternative. Although I do believe that pharmaceuticals can produce amazing results, I think there's nothing wrong with it," he said. When his mother, Sharon, asked about combining alternative therapies with pharmaceutical treatments, Jack agreed, saying, "Both together when needed is a great option."

Currently, Jack chooses not to use pharmaceuticals for his MS but remains open to them if necessary. He received his bio-cellular therapy at the Stem Cell Institute of Los Angeles, noting, "It's amazing because most people think you have to go to a foreign country for this, but if anyone listening is struggling with any kind of health condition and wants to explore bio-cellular therapy, it's a really interesting landscape right now."

He explained that the treatment was pioneered in Germany, where the focus is on treating the cause of the problem rather than just the symptoms. "American healthcare is all about treating symptoms. Take MS, for instance. You'll rarely come across an MS doctor who treats the source of the problem. You go to a neurologist because your nerves are damaged by the MS."

When Ozzy, 75, asked about the cause of nerve damage, Jack explained that it is due to an autoimmune disease. Sharon, 71, inquired if he believed autoimmune diseases originate from the stomach, to which Jack responded that new research suggests MS could be linked to a virus in the stomach. "My belief is that with my immune system, things just kind of compacted. I don't think there was one singular event that flipped my immune system to cause multiple sclerosis."

According to the Mayo Clinic, MS is a disease where "the immune system attacks the protective sheath (myelin) that covers nerve fibers and causes communication problems between your brain and the rest of your body."
