After the first day of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the 96-year-old monarch decided to take breaks and sit in or out the Service of Thanksgiving on June 3.
The Queen experienced "some discomfort" on June 1, and then decided to take breaks as its her birthday and her rules. According to the statement,
"Her Majesty with great reluctance has concluded that she will not attend, The Queen is looking forward to participating in tonight's Beacon lighting event at Windsor Castle and would like to thank all those who made today such a memorable occasion."
