Uma Pemmaraju, an original Fox News anchor and pioneering Indian-American journalist, passed away at the age of 64 .
The pioneer anchor's official death was announced by by CEO Suzanne Scott of FOX News Channel,
"We are deeply saddened by the death of Uma Pemmaraju, who was one of FOX News Channel's founding anchors and was on the air the day we launched, Uma was an incredibly talented journalist as well as a warm and lovely person, best known for her kindness to everyone she worked with. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her entire family,"
The cause of her death was not disclosed and kept it private.
Pemmaraju born in Rajahmundry, Indian and move to San Antonio, Texas when she was only six years old.
Uma graduated from Trinity University with a degree in political science, and her first job in journalism was at the San Antonio Express-News. She was on set when Fox News launched on October 7, 1996, first anchoring Fox News Now and Fox On Trends.
She married and having a daughter Kirina. Kirina also shared the devastating news of her mother's death on her Instagram account, she wrote,
