‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ Creator Kazuki Takahashi Found Dead At Sea In Japan

Kazuki Takahashi's deep sea adventure took his life.

The "Yu-Gi-Oh!" hit manga comic series and trading card game artist, Kazuki Takahashi was found dead in the sea in Okinawa, Japan at the age of 60.

According to the Japan Coast Guards, the local police reported an abandoned rental car near a beach in Onna village. While investigating, they found a body wearing a snorkeling gear and floating around 1,000 feet offshore the coast of Nago.

The car had a driver’s license, confirming the identity of Takahashi’s real first name "Kazuo". According to initial investigations, he was traveling alone on a rental car and arrived at beach for underwater adventure with his complete snorkeling gear.  There are injuries observed to his abdomen and lower body which were believed to have been caused by marine creatures. The authorities are still investigating the cause of death and not declared yet.

In 1996, "Yu-Gi-Oh!" manga series was published in the comic magazine and brought a success in his career with eight years of continued series.
