The fourth standalone Marvel story and Disney's Thor: Love & Thunder earned a box office win with its $143 million debut.
Disney's Thor: Love & Thunder is playing in 4,375 American theaters and notched the third biggest opening weekend of the year. Jurassic World Dominion earned second with $145 million and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Year's highest $185 million.
At the international box office, “Thor: Love and Thunder” opened with $159 million from 47 markets. The film cost $250 million to produce and roughly $100 million to promote.
